i was told at sema there were going to be 3 new kits comming out,, does anyone have any pics or what not , and a even dumber question,, when is sema??,,

No pics yet.
Sema is in November I believe.
I believe the new kits are widebody kits.

Correction: 3 New Kits Will Be Available Shorly AFTER Sema....
Here is a description of the kits...
1. Agressive Wide Body Kit - Includes front and rear bumper replacement. Fender flares, side skirts and rear quarter panel modifications
2. Fender Flare Kit - Includes Front and rear bumper replacement, fender flares and side skirts
3. Regular Body Kit - Includes front and rear bumper replacement and side skirts.
My car will be arriving at the facility on Nov 5th. They will begin making all 3 kits off my car around Nov 8th. The process to make the 3 different kits is expected to take 6 weeks (not including holidays). After the kits are made, they will be shipped to have the molds made for future production. This is estimated to take 8 weeks. I am supposed to be flying to CA on March 1st to take delivery of the car but this is not confirmed at this time.
Expect kits to be sold around March 2002. I will have preliminary pictures around Christmas time. The final product will be deputed in advertising with your common car magazines

Are you allowed to disclose the name of the company? The only reason I ask is many companies have their own unique style, and I'm curious to get an idea what one of their kits might look like on the Cougar.

Nothing can be disclosed till the Week after SEMA. Also those attending SEMA obviously will not be seeing these kits at the show since its not made yet. Car will be debuted next year at SEMA

I would think that for a widebody kit you are going to have to buy rims that are 19 or 20's with 255/40 tires at least,.............and spend a minimum of $5000 for rims and tires just to look decent.Add that to the price of the kit,paint and you are looking at at least $10,000 all together .....but I might be wrong.

You are correct... it is assumed you will need a 8 inch wide tire up front and 9 inch in the rear...
The Aggressive Wide Body Kit I don't think will be on many cougars. Same as the Eclipse Kits. Estimated cost has not been given, but I expect a couple thousand
