Ok listen up ! If you look at the back of the headlight you will see TWO black rubber vents.

These are the vents for our headlights.

The lights are NOT sealed !!!!!!!!

These rubber vents let air in and out and that's why sometumes you have moisture and sometimes you don't.

When you removed the cover, there must have been some kind of treatment to the rear of the front lense. This cause the factory ones not to have moisture in them.

I used "NO FOG" when i had mine apart and coated the inside of the lense. Sometimes there is a little moisture in them , but it goes away pretty quick.

Hope this helps, Later. Jim

Then how come I never have any condensation in mine? I live in humid ass South Florida, I would think that I would have that problem, but I never have. I am just curious.

Because they come from the factory with some i don't know stuff that puts a coating on them before they get put together.

Did you look at the back and see the air vents ?

They're not sealed.

"Because they come from the factory with some i don't know stuff that puts a coating on them before they get put together. "

Could you translate that for me please. ;)

No, I didn't look. I believe you when you say that they are not sealed, I just don't understand how they stay dry if they are not sealed.

I beleive that the put something like No Fog or Rain x on the inner plastic as a coating that repels the water.
I used No Fog and it worked well.
I also after removing the plastic cover the first time, cleaned the inner clear plastic with a cloth. Then they started to get moisture them. So i took them apart again and put no fog in them.

SOME of the lights have these vents... mostly 99 models... my 2000 DOES NOT have these vents and that is why i was able to get my headlights replaced under warranty .... so you may want to take that into consideration ;)
