Airbags are deployed from an impact to the bumper. Why would you remove a saftey feature of the car? If your insurances company finds out your rates will go up.

How would an insurance company find out that you removed your passenger side airbag??? He would have to wreck his car or something, other wise they would never know.

i like the jumping on the hood idea

seriously though i would have no clue on how to do it... although i bet if you go to ebay and buy a ford tech cd (usually about 20$) for our car - get the cd that the ford service techs use, i'm sure you'll find out in there how to remove and replace it (although you can just forget the replacing part)

Baseball bat + front bumper = air bag removal. :)

It worked in Fight Club....but I am not suposed to talk about that.

Seriously I will look on my Ford CD to see if there is any info.

And don't sweat the people who try to pull the "it's illegal" crap. I would say that most of them have things that are illegal on their cars, neon and NOS are both illegal but you never see anybody use that argument.

Here is a complete run down according to the Ford CD. I will upload pics for each step. But first the warnings.

WARNING:
Wait at least 1 minute after disconnecting the battery cables, before disconnecting the electronic air bag control module or any other supplemental restraint system electrical connectors. Failure to follow this procedure may increase the possibility of accidentally deploying the air bag(s) and cause personal injury.

WARNING:
Always wear safety glasses when repairing an air bag equipped vehicle and when handling air bag module.

WARNING:
Do not use radio keycode savers when working on the supplemental restraint system (SRS). Failure to follow this warning may cause air bag deployment and or personal injury.

WARNING:
Carry a live air bag with the bag and trim cover pointed away from your body. An accidental deployment will then deploy with a minimal chance of injury.

WARNING:
Place a live air bag on a bench or other surface with the trim cover up.

WARNING:
After deployment, the air bag surface may contain deposits of sodium hydroxide, a product of the gas generate combustion that is irritating to the skin. Wash you hands with soap and water afterwards.

WARNING:
Repair is made by replacement only. If a part is replaced and the new part does not correct the condition, install the original part and perform the diagnostic procedure again.

WARNING:
Never probe the connectors on the air bags. Doing so may result in air bag deployment and personal injury.

WARNING:
Air bag modules with discolored or damaged covers or deployment doors must be replaced, not repainted.

Ok I deleted them, I don't want to abuse the upload feature. :) I hope that helped you.

I would rather you have the actual directions as opposed to doing it by ear and maybe accidentaly blowing your airbag up in your face. ;)
