so I had a thrown rod in my cougar at 90k no racing done.
and am going to have a new re manufactured engine with a 50k 3 year warranty placed in it after one year of waiting.
in the mean time I BUILT ( my first time ) a 1987 conquest tsi ( selling it to pay for cougar)
and its bin awesome...killer fast.
so I have learned a few things i know, i need to break the new engine in , but how long will it will be till its good to go? Or what tips i can grab to keep my cougar running better I know the power plant isnt that strong alot of people here seem to blow them up just using them...wondering if there is some modding I can do to make it stronger. for instance the tsi i removed the jet valves and 2nd air damn and egr valve. so the head wouldnt crack and the turbo would spool better... any way any one got some advice ??? ^^ thanks tony.
p.s i am still paying for the cougar thus the fixing , and even tho it doesnt have 300+ rwhp BUT its still so much fun to drive lol, as my girl says its niffty ^^ and fits me :P
