I'm pretty sure if 3" was also on sale, 2.5" would not have been specifically mentioned.

How much worse is aluminized compared to stainless?

I've had my aluminized on for about 4 years in northcentral PA...and it was used when I got it even. It's fine.

I see. I think I'm still gonna wait to find a good price on 3'' stainless.

my aluminized piping is fine after 3 years of michigan winters. in fact i just cut it in half and added a bend and a tip to make it a sidepipe. it is the sex! i recommend that mod to anybody wanting music to their ears at a high volume lol.

The thing is, I like hearing the engine over the exhaust, but I want the performance of the 3".

Well, unless you're running F/I 3" piping is going to hurt you, not help you.

It is true, go with a 2.5" exhaust. And get Borla, it makes a sexy sound on the Cougar, I love mine and get many complements on it. Good price and great company. Highly Recommend TruBendz.

+1 for TruBendz. I was a bit skeptical when I bought from them since they weren't "name brand," and I hadn't heard of them before. But 100% satisfied with them. The guy who installed my kit said he hadn't seen piping that matched up that well in a while. Excellent stuff!

still debating dont rush me lol. just bought a contour with bosal exhaust, havent driven on highway yet but so far its too loud for my liking. just wondering if the borla system will sound just like the borla i got on coog, cant remember which muffler they used on their kit. also wondering how much louder the flowmaster will be. just want to loose the rasp i hate it.
