I have successfully driven the Cougar for 1 week with out filling up. I kept it under 3200rpm all week, drove only to work, and accepted rides from friends. It feels good, it's almost as addicting as wasting money and gas. I'm proud of me.

Every once in awhile I try to get the mpg readout as low as possible, as soon as I am happywith my results I go back to driving normally.

You mean high? lol. I've had an average of 12 before, but I've also done 32mpg. The 32mpg tank lasted 1.5 weeks, and the 12mpg lasted 2 days.
I've also been unemployed (full time, I still have a 20hr/week job) so that saves gas, and I got my GTI running, so the Cougar's been sitting for 2 days.

i can get my car up to 26 mpg when i really try. it sure is hard to do though, having to coast for miles doing 20mph lol

I'll reset my MPG when I leave for fest. I should be at about 29 MPG when I arrive. depending on how much city driving I do to get to the hotel.

nice a whole week, wish i could last for more than every three days. the 160 bucks to fill the truck would kill me if i was footing the bill! but for last 4 years gas has been paided by company =)

When I worked 12 miles away I'd fill up on Tuesday, then again by Saturday night/Sunday morning. Now that I'm working only 4 miles away and 4 days a week I just made it a week and a half and I still have 1/6th left in the tank. But like I said, I drove my VW or didn't leave the house for the last 4 days.

lucky bastards. i got the 4banger which on a bad day gets 27mpg :) and if i'm lucky i can get a tank to last me 5 days. then again i drive about 60-70 miles to work and school every day. i topped off on thursday night and i'm ready for a refill today.

Where do you live/work/go to school? The Nasty Natti area isn't all that big.

according to mapquest it's just under 74 miles not including any other stops i may have to make. it's over 50 mile if i'm just going to and from work. i never really plotted it out to know exactly how much i drive. damn i'm spending a sh!t load on gas. :( now i need to go try to get a raise.
