WTB: black leather seats if anyone has any

I need black leather seats for a '01 cougar front and back. if anybody has any and would be willing to ship them to ohio then pm me. i'm trying to rebuild a cougar and every junk yard i go to only has cloth seats and i need black leather or two tone black/red leather to compliment my interior plans. thanks. :)

well... if all else fails i'll just have my seats custom made by a local shop. i just didn't want to spend that much money. so if there are any other alternatives please share.

has anybody heard of the seat covers on ebay called seat guards? are they any good? :confused:

Upholstery shops are going to be $1500 or more for all of your seats, I got one bottom section of a seat done in vinyl and it was $300. If you have the bank, go for it, because it's a good look in the Cougar. Seat covers are shapoopy, unless you work in construction I wouldn't get one.

I'm starting to lean toward just getting replacement covers from ford and putting them on myself but that's still going to be pretty expensive and money is really tight. I was hoping somebody would be willing to sell me a set for about $500-$600. But I don't see that happening. I'll still give it a week or two before I go to ford just in case somebody does have a set they're willing to sell.

Just keep watching ebay. LKQ usually has sets on from 35 anniversarys, XRs, C2s, and all the other cars that came with stock leather. I just checked but didn't see any on right now.

Since you grew up in Felicity then you must know where Hammersville is. I was up in Beechmont taking care of some bills and on my way home I was going through Hammersville and passed the junkyard there and out of the corner of my eye I saw a totalled black cougar so I made a u-turn in the school parking lot. Sure enough it was a 2002 XR with Black/Red leather seats and the owner told me he was going to crush the beauty and said take what I want from it. So I took the seats which were in perfect shape and also the brand new looking 18" Verde 5ive's. So needless to say I was speechless... :bowdown:

I know exactly what junkyard you're talking about. I actually went to Hamersville in elementry, but that building's been demolished for quite a few years now. Good deal on the seats.

The old elementary was actually replaced by a new one behind it and a parking lot is now where the old school used to stand. Well...since I no longer need this thread to be open anymore then I guess it can be closed now. Thanks.
