I Just went through indy this morning to go to a wedding down in MO and 465 S just after you merge off 465 W from 69 S about 5 miles down there is construction. It cuts both directions of traffic down to one side of the e-way and lasts right up to the exit to the hotel. just make sure everyone knows what exit to get off cause it will be hard to keep the caravan together.

p.s. - sorry for anyone watching jaged's thread, this is a repeat to his but i will keep it up to date regardless.

Thanks Puma! Not sure if anyone else has seen this thread yet...I'll spread the word to my caravan. :) And I'll tell Ron and Jenny tonight at dinner.

The main caravan will probably be taking 465 around the south side, from east to west. From what I can understand from your description, the construction is on the north side of the city?

Shouldn't be an issue for most of us.

this is the aprox area of the construction I saw. when I go to my aunts on sunday I will go the opposite way around indy and will let you know sunday evening or mon morning how that way is so you all can plan acordingly.

That's what I figured.

Caravans from the East will be coming from the bottom up on 465, instead of the top down.

the const. starts and ends (depending which direction you are driveing) almost imediatly at the exit so even going that way you may hit some traffic. I may actually take 70 straight through on my way up.

Im at the hotel right now, i know its a saturday but I put the cruse on at 75 and i had no problems im sure mid day rush hour will be a killer though. Also yes the construction is on and off. Its one strech it ends then 2-6 miles down it starts up agian weird. It was 2-3 lanes even with construction froming from the north.

I just went through yesterday and it was clear as can be. I was telling my girlfriend how surprised I was how dead the freeway was. Downtown was a little messy though. Fireworks were beautiful.

I didn't realize that was where the hotel was until now. I vote Grindstone Charley's for lunch/dinner. Their food is awesome.

seeing those words while at home makes me depressed. I'm usually the first one there (at the hotel that is).

now i'm gonna be the last one there. oh well, have fun

I'll just click the "Detour Around" button on my Nav once my XM traffic alert pops up and we'll be magically whisked away from it. Same goes for Ron.

Yeah I'm bragging like a 5 year old, HA!
