Okay so I went over it with Nicky and RJ and we agreed that if we wanted to do a BBQ holding it at someone house is a better idea. So the Meet will be at RJ's on the 2nd of Aug. I was looking at meeting around 2-3. Afterwards we'll be heading out to go see a movie. RJ has been dying to go see "Get Smart", so that's on the agenda. RJ is in the Bowie Area (IIRC) not too far off the 495 Beltway.

I was not planning on the meet being late in August. I am thinking the 26th of July or the 2nd/3rd of August. I have my parents coming in the 9th of August so that weekend and the weekend after is out.
Any takers? Anyone have other inputs/insights? Perhaps a bbq at a park or something?:shrug:

:cover: I believe I am free both of those days.
I like the BBQ idea. There are parks aplenty around so the hard part is just picking one. I have a small charcoal grill we could use if the spot we pick doesn't have built-in grills. (Or I could bring the portable gas grill.)
Just throwing out the days that I know won't work for me. These things always manage to move around.
The BBQ is always nice, as long as we get a decent number of people coming and willing to bring something to contribute.

Should be okay for me. My friend's birthday is that day but I don't know if she's having a party or anything.

just throwing it out there, i posted it up earlier, but i didnt know if anyone from NECO was gonna feel like driving over.
but July 27th, I'm having a BBq at my house in Dover, DE.

there's a few CEG'rs coming and a bunch of local people coming over.

I was thinking about this today, and I was relieved when I realized it's next weekend and not this Saturday - that gives a much better chance the house will actually be clean. :)
I was thinking I might make my not-very-famous-but-VERY-tasty banana cake if anyone else would be interested in such a treat. I hate to make it if I'm the only one that likes bananas or something, so let me know.
Also, I can bring condiments and such - I know I already have plenty of ketchup (I buy the large bottles because I use so much of it), and mustard is probably in good shape already too. What else do we need (both in the condiment and non-condiment departments)? Seems like Nicky and Henry have the main stuff well covered.

Welllllll, I sneak into this forum every once and awhile..... I've been AFK because I'm a federal cop in cumberland now lol. BUT I plan on being home the weekend of the second and bowie is pretty close to me. Do you guys need me to bring anything?

Okay, I'll be there and Brian will be with me. I have to go to my friend Lindsay's birthday event later in the evening though.
Sherrie and Jason will also be coming and they volunteered to bring whatever else we'd like. I asked if they could do paper plates/utensils and such so we don't make RJ do dishes. :)

I'd like to bring the cougar too... I need a IAC motor so I talked to Dave & he sd he will take care of it for me. He says he wants to come too.... so I guess he will be there as well.....

You may want to bring folding chairs if you have them. I have the picnic table, two folding chairs I can grab from the camper, and two patio chairs...

As for the cake, I was going to take the remainder into work, but I decided it'd be best to wait until the "herpes" part was gone first...
