So I was thinking, rather then throwing all the bottles and cans and pizza boxes in the trash that we could recycle them. Do a little good. There is a recycling loction only 3 miles from the hotel and I can drop them off there. I can bring some boxes from my job that way we can just set those up in the parking lot. Any objections?

;) I work at a grocery store we always have tons of boxes! I'm going to talk to the green team leader to see if she has any ideas or if they can throw in something. Probably not but its worth a shot!

Its illegal to take bottles bought in one state without refunds and return them in another for money.

Cougarfest is going green. Well kind of........ recycling a few cans an boxes doesn't really make up for all of the fuel that we are going to consume driving all of our cars to Fest. But hey I guess we can do good where we can.

It was an idea. It wouldn't hurt espically since that drop off location is only 3 miles away. I think my job is rubbing off on me :disgust:

have you checked if the hotel has recycling? maybe it's just more of a west coast thing, but everywhere here has recycling along with trash.

Lisa - that's a great idea. Considering how thirsty we all get, I can help you drop it off if the hotel doesn't have a recycling program.

+1 to lisa!

Doesn't glass normally need to be seperated by color? It'd be funny to see if drunk people could get them in the right box.

This is a really good idea though.
