Ok, This just happened not an hour ago so i will try to remember all the details.

I was coming back from lunch and was just approaching a stop light. There are 2 cars in front of me and the light just turned red. On the opposite side, there are no cars but i can see this big Mercedes approaching at what i considered to be too much speed. At that moment, this lady started to cross the street with one kid holding her hand and her pushing a trolley with a baby in it.(she was on the crosswalk and the pedestrian light was green...)

This is when it happened. Aforementioned Mercedes was going too fast and i knew he couldnt stop in time... He slams on the brakes and misses the lady by mere inches!
(im like holy ****!!!!) The lady is totally shocked and freezes right there in the middle of the street. The driver of the mercedes rolls down the window and starts yelling at her! (and from the tone, you can tell that this guy was *****ing her out. But its not her fault since she was doing everything legally and hes the one who was speeding.)
At this point, i see the driver of the first car ahead of me get out. (And i recognize him! Hes one of my patient!) He walks over to the mercedes and says something and the driver steps out of the car and they are being confrontational. They go back and forth and the driver of the mercedes pulls something out of his pocket, then reaches into his car and pulls out a gun and points at my patient!:crazy:
This is the funny part. As soon as he did, my patient disarms him with a very quick move with his hands (honestly, it was like a movie. one moment guy had a gun in his hand and the next, it was flying out of his hand!
Oh, i guess i should tell you about my guy. He is 57 years old war veteran (from the Yugoslavian war), used to be a fighter pilot. He crashed twice and survived both crashes, got decorated for pulling out a fellow pilot out of a burning plane, then got his helicoptor rating and flew for one of the oil companies in Houston. He works out everyday, is in great shape, and i would never mess with him.:))
So, after he is disarmed, he reaches down to pick up a rock ( i guess to club him:rofl:) and as soon as he did, my guy started to kick the **** out of him! At this point, me and this other guy went up to pull them apart (wait, to pull my guy off of the other guy:biggrin:) The guy is bloody pulp and the lady is sitting on the curb shaking from shock. I went up to her to make sure she was ok and made sure she called her husband. We call the ambulance for the poor guy and made sure my guy was ok. He had a huge cut in his right shin from where he kicked the crap out of the guys mouth! And get this, you can see 2 or 3 teeth sticking out of his shin!:rofl: We try to calm him down a bit and asked him what happened. Apparently the guy driving the mercedes is a Bosnian cop and he was telling my guy that he better watch out because he was a cop and had a gun and would blow his head off.(bad move talking to a ex military in Croatia in that manner.)
My guy told him to take his best shot and the ass kicking began.
Anyway, ambulance came and picked the poor guy up and the EMT was wondering where the car he crashed was.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Anyway, I just got back so if there is any update ill let you guys know.

Crazy day!

Update:

Guy called me this evening and told me that police would come by later this week to take a statement. Im to be one of the witnesses if this thing gets to the court.

The cop guy is at the hospital with 3 broken ribs, 1 broken clavicle (collar bones to you non medical guys:)) and busted up grill. He is a 32 year old cop from Bosnia... but he wasnt supposed to take the gun out of Bosnia so he might be in trouble with his unit back home and is definately in trouble in Croatia for carrying an illegal firearm. My guy got to the hospital and they pulled out 4 teeth from his shin! 2 was superficial and 2 were deep.
He also talked to the judge (who happens to be his friend) this evening. Judge asked him why he did it and my guy told him that his daughter in law has 2 young kids and if something like that were to happen to them, he wouldnt know what he would do...
(well, we know now, dont we?) Judge told him not to worry about the case because everything was that cops fault.

Amazing, I'm glad people are starting to stand up for themselves and others, it's the 2nd time this week I've heard of it! (my dad yelled at 2 people at a theme park for jumping line to be with friends)

Oh I did the same thing. I was at Kroger and there water is on sale. I bought 2 cases but they sell it by the litre bottle, THey told me I would have to manually scan each one.. I was like WHAT!? They quickly said, well just scan the case code.

Heck yeah, I thought I was gonna have to bust some heads. :)

It is when you put it in perspective. Hes a built guy, and his voice is harmful. The kid was about 10, he also yelled at the kids dad. Then he yelled at some hoodlum girl, that was classic.

I would like to see him kick someone though, besides me.

yeah, don't mess with retired military people. My dad was a fighter pilot, got shot down during vietnam.

He is 63 I think, and I wouldn't ever consider trying to mess with him.
