Well Hello There!
Its been a while since I've posted on these boards so I thought it was about time i gave you all an update!
As some of you might know about 18 months ago my '98 Zetec decided it'd had enough and due to a silly misjudgement the engine blew.
Guess I should have remembered to check the oil that week...
Anyway Due to me requiring a car for work I purchased a 2002 Ford Mondeo:

As you can see from the above photo I'd had some custom headlight mods done, and I had some interesting plans for the Car.
Meanwhile I was having the Cougar repaired so I could sell her and move on...
But something was wrong... I didnt feel right... I knew selling her was the right thing to do at the time.....Here's what she looked like at her prime:

Fast Forward 6 months and I'd stripped off all the kit, the wheels were gone and she was looking very sad due to some botched paint repairs and kit removal damage.

I was really cut up about the whole situation, but I consoled myself in the fact that I had a nice sensible car now and as soon as i cleaned her up a bit then I could let her go finally...
In October of 2007 I started a new job very close to where I worked. Parking is very tight at work so the company offer money to people who car-share so I started getting a lift to work with a collegue. So my sensible car just sat in the car-park not doing very much....
Fast forward 6 months and I have to make the decision....
I bought the Mondeo as it was a diesel and didnt cost very much to run, but due to the fact that i dont drive very often in my job having something like that was completely un-required.
I still had the cougar parked up outside my house looking very sorry for herself - sat on completly flat, standard rim, really dirty and very unloved.
So i finally made the decision to keep her and sell the Mondeo - more than a year after everything went wrong, things were starting to look up....
She's now clean and running on some nice new tyres and polished and had some paint repairs done, and is looking almost back to how she was when i first got her 4 and a half years ago:

I've already put a Cougar-2 US Grille on the front and put a mercury badge on the back. The interior has remained the same aside from my boot-install is gone, so something new is on the horizon.
Sadly my 18's are gone also, and they are next to impossible to get hold of now due to limited availability when they were released. So I gotta decide on something different this time...
Kit wise I'm waiting for a nice windfall to come my way from the Tax man then i can decide what to do about that, but i'm thinking of getting a Roush kit this time around...
Just so happy to be back in the Cougar.... The last 18 months have been heart-breaking for me.
