3.0l tb fit on svt uim

Can anyone give me detailed instructions on what i need and how to make a 3.0l Throttle body fit on a svt uim. Reason im asking is i couldnt find a svt tb or cables to go with it. I have an 01 cougar mtx if that helps any. Thank you

The back of my SVT tb has 3.0L stamped on it. i believe they are the same part. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

ok got everthing in and working but for the record the tb bracket needs more than just a little modding like these forums say. but it works. The tb cable works but u need a washer betweeen the cable end at the pedal. Cut a slit in washer, slide cable in the slit on the washer, on the front side of pedal. The tb and cable off a 96-99 sable/taurus works. To get the bracket to work you must first cut the ear off with the extra spring. Where the bottom bolt goes in on the tb you must shave down the tip on the bracket. You have to bend down the bracket a bit so it fits under the hood. Then cut the tab on bottom of bracket. Then cut the two wholes off that stick farther out toward driver side of car. You also have to cut notch out of the bottom right of the bracket for throttle linkage can open butterfly all the way. After that you have to move the bracket to back side of tb. i put the bolts in frontside of tb but put a nut on the top bolt of the backside. Thats about it. you cant use your cruise control cable, just unhook.The tb itself you have to clock it and the gasket to fit egr pathway. This is for the next guy, so he/she dont have to guess and get lucky like me. Thank god.

you got the other style of 3L tb. there is one that pulls toward the middle of the car, i think this is the one you have, it puts the cable on top. the other style is the one that pulls from the bottom. there are no clearance issues there

i got it off a 3.0l duratec from a 96-sable.

im not sure of the year but they switched over at some point. i have had both types
