So, we got a decent deal on a 2 night stay at the Americana Niagara. We promised Alex (Christine's son) that we'd try and stay at the Great Wolf Lodge this summer, but the funds simply aren't there. For $299 I scored 2 nights at the Americana Niagara (thanks to travelzoo) which also has an indoor waterpark...that about covers 1/2 the cost of a one night stay at the Great Wolf.

Sooo.....my questions are:

1) Anyone wanna come to the falls and visit after work one night or if you have the afternoon off? Maybe we can go out for dinner.

2) Anyone know cheap places to eat that have decent food?

I bought 2 cases of pop so we can avoid buying drinks at the restaurants. Since we have a microwave and bar fridge there's no point in spending $30-$40 a day on refreshments. Sounds sad, but 4 people for 3 days is a hefty price in meals alone. I'm still not sure if we will be taking the cougar or the sunfire. It will likely be the Sunfire though becuase it gets better milage and is more comfortable for the kids.

Id love to meet up with you Dan but im working all up to Thursday night. Friday morning going golfing with my family and wedding party than I have my rehearsal for the wedding.

You have to go to flying saucer for breakfast. Its on Lundys lane. Ask for the special (its a local thing) its 1.99. You get 2 eggs and 3 pieces of bacon with toast. If you want sausage instead its 2.99.

As for other cheap places there really aren't any. You will have all your fast food places on Lundys lane.

PS. If you go to the falls, dont waste your money on the new attraction NIAGARA FURY (or something like that) its a 15$ money grab that shows you how the falls became what they are.

Thanks for the breakfast tip! That was the main thing. I saw that "new" attraction when I was searching the net for coupons lol...it looks retarded to begin with.

We're likely hitting up the falls just for a walk, the kids will likely be playing in the water all day Wednesday, I'm thinking Pizza on Tuesday night (any recommendations?) then we'll hit up Applebees or Kelsey's Wednesday, then have dinner at home Thursday.

EDIT: SWEET! Just looked up the address for the flying saucer and it's only a stones throw away from our place. Thanks again for the breakfast tip Mich. Like I said, that was the main thing I was worried about and most of the places online were like $10-$12 a piece. All 4 of us can eat for the price of one at this place!

BTW....the 8/9/10 is Tues/Wed/Thurs so if you get off early and wanna swing by the hotel for a beer Tues/Wed lemmie know.

For Pizza we usually get Gamblers pizza (behind 7-11), its on Mcleod. I cant think of any good pizza on Lundys lane. There is a Pizza Pizza, Im not a big fan of there pizza however.

My bad on the dates Dan, for sure I will come out and meet you I was thinking my wedding date was on the 11th (EEEK) Pm me your cell phone # again.
