We are working on redoing the interior now and also installing Koni struts and a new front mount intercooler system. Gonna have the car touched up at the end of summer and we may display the car in Tuner Alley at SEMA this fall.

We did the work in about 6 weeks. My freinds Pat and John assisted as well so lots of hours invested.

Craig, its AWESOME to see one of the "original Cougar shops" still putting time and effort into making their show Cougar even better, while others have "moved on" to other cars and have left their show Cougar's to collect dust. Keep it up man, the car looks awesome.

Oh, and I'm curious. Do you give a NECO discount on your site for non-Cougar stuff?

yeah just shoot us an email letting us know what you need and mention neco member discount and we'll hook you up.

What body kit is that???

Yeah we hand built the flares from fabricator foam and then fiberglassed and molded them. The car is approx 8" wider than stock and has 20x9" wheels with custom 2" billet wheel spacer adpaters. They bolt to the hub like a wheel and then have their own lug studs on the spacers. I am going to do a set of custom offset 3 piece wheels on the car at some point when I complete my current project car that is going to SEMA this fall.

2008 Mitsubishi EVO-X

These pics were taken just after install of 32 way adj coil over damper kit, carbon fiber fenders and diffuser. I still am waiting on carbon doors, trunk, wing, hood, and lip kit before the car gets painted with a 2 tone gray/black with exposed carbon paint scheme. I have 19x10 gloss black wheels with staggered lips being made now as well.

I fell in love with the X on the test drive and got the 1st one in Sacramento. I test drove the first one the day it arrived and picked up mine 4 days later when they got the first graphite one. These cars are responding great to mods because they are factory tuned so rich that by just having an ECU flash on a stock car they are seeing gains of around 60whp. I have an Agency Power Suction Pipe, BOV, and Intake on mine now and awaiting delivery of a 3.5" True Dual exhaust from Extreme Turbo Systems as well as 2.5" hard intercooler pipe kit and 3.25" Intercooler Upgrade. Once those parts arrive and I get my downpipe installed I'm taking it to Sonoma to have Works tune it with their stage 2 program and boost control mod.

Only down side to these cars in my opinion is the price and the fuel economy. These cars get 15 mpg and only about 195 miles to a tank. Also most dealers are still charging a markup above sticker price so a GSR model with the HID/Rockford Sound/Wing options ends up at about 42-44k. The MR models are going for around 52k. That is nuts for anyone that remembers what mitsubishi in general was like 10 years ago to what the Evolution is now.

I used to prefer the new STi over the new Evo, until I saw the Top Gear battle, and I have changed my tune. The new Evo is absolutely insane!

can you give me a link to where you got your spacers from? I need a few inches to make my wheels sit nice with the flares.
