the cooling fan doesnt seem to work...
as far as i know.. when the car is idoling.
because it overheats when the car is idoling.. but it cools down when your moving.
any ideas?

check the relay, jhust swap it with your horn one( i believe those 2 are the same) and see if it works then. you generally don't need your fan when the car is moving since it keeps cool with the air passing through it

See if it comes on when you turn on the A/C

yes if you run the A/C it should run the fans on low.

2nd check would be to put the car in diagnostic mode [search for the howto] and let it idle till the temps reach 220 [IIRC] and you should hear the fans kick on high.

I thought my car had the same problem as I had NEVER heard my fans turn on.... till I was cycling coolant and idling it, yup they work just fine.

My 01... 219 low,~225 high.
I've never seen it go over 221 on it's own,I had to
disable the fan to get it that hot.
