I installed the damn thing so long ago, I can't remember how I did it or how long it took (you know you are getting old when...). I vaguely remember having to cut the throttle cable, of course that could have been a different mod gone wrong ;) I still have the original UIM and TB, but if its too much work to swap, I might just leave them on.

If you dont have the stock TB cable I would just swap ou the UIM (6 bolts on top) and put the Svt TB to the stock UIM. Not worth you buying a 40$ cable to sell the Svt one for $$$ ?
Unless you arrange with the person who you sell it to to give you there stock cable.
Shouldnt take longer than 30min.

just make sure to put something covering the LIM so you don't drop anything in there and have to spend 2 weeks pulling the motor apart because it embedded itself into the head.

but if they have to cut their stock cable, it won't do me any good :P
if the stock UIM connects to the svt tb, that sounds like the best option...

You dont have to cut the stock cable. You just disconect it from the pedal.
honestly it would probably save you lots of time if you just left the Svt Tb in the car. That way you dont have to trade with someone else or wait till they take theres out.

Follow this how-to : CougarDB.com - Online Cougar Database '99-'02 (http://www.cougardb.com/howtoshow.php?howtoid=26) (minus the part about taking the LIM apart).
Its very straight forward and easy to follow and to do.
Theres no cutting of the TB cable needed..
If you need a stock TB cable let me know, I have one you can have for cheap
(unless you have ATX).
