Bad things happen to good people

To make the story short, I left around 12:45 this morning to drive 45 minutes to pick up a friend of mine that was WAYY to drunk to drive home & on our way to her house a freakin GIANT raccoon ran out in front of me on the highway.....

Thus Breaking my bumper into a few pieces!!:mad:

I guess I'm glad it wasn't the guy walking down the road about 1/8th mile ahead of us:facepalm: At 3 A.M.

same **** happened to me a few months ago but its didnt do very much damage i wasn't going real fast luckily. sorry to hear man send them to my phone i wanna see the damage.

I hit a squirell when I had my kit on and it got stuck in teh front bumper:) good laugh. Glad it wasnt something bigger or i would have probably shot myself.

Sorry for not posting the pics yet. I didn't think there would be this much interest. LOL, and I didn't wanna cut the tie-straps I put on there that night to hold things up from scrapping. I'll try and get pics in the morning for all of you.

But I have hit a raccoon or 2 before in this same car and it did no damage at all... but they were smaller ones & I slammed on brakes trying to give them a chance.

This one was seriously the biggest raccoon I have ever seen in my LIFE though! and it just came out of nowhere so I was probably doing at least 40 upon contact. I was going 50 or so

That must have been a HUGE raccoon to do that much damage! IDK if I've ever seen a stock front just shatter like that. :eek:

I AGREE! I told the girl I kinda wanted to turn around and go see if I could find it laying by the road or something. To take a pic because it looked SO big! But she was too out of it...LOL, If only I would have told her no. HAHA

My bumper would be fine! BUT....She might have tried to drive and that DEFinitely would have been worse!

stock bumper in good shape should not be too hard to find locally.

I have an 01 front bumper sitting outside of my garage. but its not Rio Red... and I don't feel like sanding! LOL, SO, anyone have or know of where to get a Rio Red front bumper? 99,00,01,02. Doesn't matter to me! :)
