UK Cluster in a Canadian Cougar?

I might be able to get a new euro cluster and I'm wondering if it will be a direct replacement or if I will need to do any other modifications for it to function? And since the euro cluster is new it has 0miles on it, once installed will it return to the amount of miles that were on the old cluster or stay at 0miles?

I can answer the second part - the cluster stores the miles, not the car itself. So it'll show zero miles when you plug it in. Presumably you can get it reprogrammed at a Ford dealer.
