my 98.5 turbo svt is for sale it has 110k miles 2.5L nautilus turbo kit with 600 miles on it. new koni struts and eibach pro springs. very clean car, very nice interior midnight blue asking 7,500. will also consider trade plus cash for a v6 manual cougar in nice shape. pretty open to color but would really like a gray one.

It has some dings in it nothing major though, 112K miles. It's a 2000 with some mods done to it. Check out my CougarDB in my sig for the mods and some pics. I'm working on getting back to the best condition possible right now and wouldn't get rid of it until it is in the best condition possible.

all these cars being the age have some small dings even if your meticulous with care, thats to be expected. i have been checking your car out its definatley something i would consider. i guess the question is what do you feel yours is worth? shoot me a pm with an offer. ive done everything someone could do to a contour three times over so im thinking about crossing over into necos world. the contours just dont do it for me anymore and i think im gonna move on from ceg

I surprised as well. People talk about how they want more power and whens it comes along no one jumps on it. I hope you don't have to part it out. If I didn't already have several cars and a project car I'd be very interested.

i know man, ive had a few offers and possible deals but at the last minute they foil over something silly. i just dont get it. its not like im asking to much in the trade as i have searched the value of both cars. and mine is in great shape and runs like a top. as a matter of fact the last time i had this thing on the dyno the owners commented on the fact that is was the best tuned car they have dynoed in a long time. im also willing to lessen the trade by swapping suspensions between cars or something to keep the cost down for the new owner? and this car makes great reliable power and has room for a lot more considering im running extremely low boost and still put 250 to the wheels.


i really want to jump into the cougar seen and possibly if i can get one in time make it to cougarfest and seee what its all about

I think the reason that people arent jumping around offering is because of the higher miles on the engine and trans with that turbo kit..


They dont wanna trade their car for a higher mileage one. And then if there is a higher mileage cougar they dont want to pay the extra money for the contour.

understandable because you guys dont know me yet, but this motor was personally put together by me 5k miles ago it has 36k original miles( and im somewhat of a duratec expert), turbo is brand new. and everything under this car is brand new. the car looks like it has 25k miles on it. and when i do a build espc. on a car that i drive it gets the best of everything. i stand by the quality of this car hands down as it is one of the nicest svts around. i have a pretty outstanding rep. when it comes to the svt as people come from far distances to have me do there motor swaps

and if i find the right cougar im pretty flexible on the deal where all parties will walk away happily

tried making a deal with him but his has some body damage so i offered mine and he would have to fork out 200 extra which i thought was more then fair but he wants to keep his rims and i need every good thing his car has to make the deal worth doing, i cant just give mine away its way to nice of a car for that.

Any trans work done on this thing? Any interest in Dark Green? I would end up having to fork up some cash for this to work out I'm sure but just wondering those two things.

BTW my car is setup as follows:
99 v6 MTX
Roush springs, st200 struts, drilled and slotted rotors that are warped but have brand new OEM rotors to go on, SVT front sway bar, ST200 Rear strut bar, omp front strut bar, completely rebuilt 98 SVT motor with about 26k miles on it running with stock couar ecu and injectors, SVT flywheel, sunroof that works, tinted tails with covers visteon hood scoop and spoiler, gutted precats, mangaflow exhaust that rattles a bit and is getting toward the end of its life, needs a front bumper as the current had a few cracks that we were repaired and has a spot that the clear pealed off of. Also have an Aussie bar that isn't installed yet just sitting around and probably some other stuff I can't think of. Interior was worked up and needs a little more work front seats are grey leather rears need to be sourced in grey leather as they are just stock cloth right now and I haven't searched much to find them. Stock head unit, I believe kenwood door speakers, Amp and Sub but that stays with me but I will leave all wiring in the car. Car needs some work to get it abck into great shape but I know that while considering making this offer.

i personally looked this thing over last night and rode in it and it really is perfect. everything is perfect. no dash warp, very clean interior, engine is very clean. i personally think you guys need to be all on this. if i didn't have so many plans for my cougar this thing woulda been traded. too bad i have far more invested than most people. but you guys need to do this. YOUR STUPID if you don't!

well your car is nice, about value i think mine is worth more. im just not in a position to take a loss on this one. if it boils down to it ill just park the tour and go buy a cougar and the distance is an issue. im very busy and dont have the time for flights back and forth and whatnot. no way the wifey is gonna allow that plus if im gone from work for to long these guys will burn it to the ground. really looking for something local and easy. if you wanted to do the legwork the oppurtunity is there for you. but thats about the best i could do on this one.

O.K., I'll bite. I've got a Cougar I bought off gamiller. He bought it to stuff his original engine and trans into during his 3L turbo upgrade. I forget how many miles were on the engine then, but I think just under 100K. (correct me if I'm wrong Gary) I've had it for about a year and it's had an additional 10K put on since then. Chassis has 170K. Anyway, it's a black '99 MTX. Only mods are the radio, BIG-3 wiring with 2-gauge wire and 150-amp breaker in place of the MEGAFUSE, stock silver spoiler and aftermarket springs, but, I don't recall which kind they are as they came with the car. I've replaced the front control arms with brand new, installed all new wheel bearings, axles, tie rods, rotors, pads, etc. I ripped out the interior to power-wash it all and install new speakers and an iPod compatible radio. I also ripped out and re-did the headliner in gray and replaced the visors with stock gray visors. Looks really clean inside. Only major defect is the passenger side quarter panel. Looks like it was quick-fixed and painted over. There were no pin-stripes on it when I got it. I re-did the pintsripes myself. To be in *good* shape, it'd be best to just strip it, cleran up dents and repaint, but, it's perfectly fine for a DD. I basically did everything to make it a reliable DD with a decent ride. Anyway, here are some pics. Let me know what you think. I'm in the Washington, D.C. area.
