On the way back from our miami meets this weeknd we ran into a Z-28 on a strech of I-75. So what happened? He was aggresively pushing his way through traffic and came up side by side with us. My thiught "it's a Z-28 don't imberass yourself", but what the hell? He took off and I decided to follow in his foot steps. He paced us untill we got to a large clearing in the traffic, and we where off. What did I think was gonna happen? Under his exhaust smoke I'd figure we would loose sight of his rear bumper pretty quick. What did happen? I actually managed to pace him for a little bit. All in all he pulled on me, but barely. Don't get me wrong, I'd never line up next to one at a stop light. However I must say that I was quite suprised. I know most of you are gonna call bull****, but give it a try the next time you get a chance, you are in for a suprise.

Zero

BTW....we started racing at 70 and I ended it at 100, he kept going.

I won't call bull****. There are many different configurations in a Z28 that could make this possible. First of all, it would most likely be an automatic because around 70 if you punch it, it tends not to downshift. Also if it were an auto, they came standard with 2.73 rear end. Finally if it was a '93 - '97 then it was an LT1 which has less top end than an LS1. If all of these things were true then I believe that you could hang with a Z for a little while.
