Man... it's been a while since I was on the boards...
anyway, I was surprised there wasn't a Cougarfest thread... maybe on page two, I was too lazy to look.
So who's going to Cougarfest? And does anyone need a roommate? I'm still looking for a place to crash...

Matt, me and Plush are rooming but we can take a fourth. If we get a 4th we're looking at 60 bucks a piece for the room(maybe a lil more cause of taxes.) I already volunteered to take the floor.
Let me know if you want in and we'll be good for cheap room and more beer.

As for the caravan we normally all meet up in the Walmart parking lot just off of 70 on the west side of Columbus in the early afternoon. I think the meeting time is normally around 1PM, so that way we hit Indy around 4PM, just missing the heavy traffic and there with plenty of time to settle in, and then grab some dinner.

Trust me, i'm kicking myself for even debating not going. I even want to bring my car, regardless of the condition it is in. But my financial situation is just not looking good at all. It would be awesome if my stimulus check came in beforehand, but i believe i get it sometime afterwards.

I think i might be able to go. I forgot that we get our bonus checks at work this month. Depending on how much i get i might be able to go. Usually they're pretty good but the year started off kinda rocky and they couldn't start a bonus pool till later in the first half of the year. So it might not be much. But i think it might be enough to pay my way for fest this year!

I don't think Mary's going this year, so looks like I'll be by myself. I may book a room anyway for myself, or if anyone still needs a roomie that's not packed. I like sleeping on a bed. :) I don't think I'm heading down till Friday though.
I have tons of booze at my house that I've been slowly trying to get rid of (consume). So licquor should be on the cheap this year.

So good old Time Warner couldnt give me anything but Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. So I will be heading in Friday sometime. I may wait for Aaron and caravan with him after 7pm. Not sure yet.

Ya. So, the fest rate was 72 or so bucks a night. The AAA discount was like 4 bucks cheaper online then over the phone (which was still cheaper then the cougarfest rate) for some odd reason. Perhaps because online I logged into my choicehotels account.
I'm a member of every major hotel chain, since I'm in them so often (like right now!) Sometimes you can sweet talk the ladies.

What was the CougarFest rate? Did that include tax?
I booked with the AAA discount, and did have a Choice Privileges number, but didn't enter that till after I had gotten the rates. I usually just book on-line and mention in the "special requests" field that I'm with CougarFest, so they have a better idea how many rooms booked are due to CF.

...probalbly not. :( She has a cpr class this weekend. However, this past weekend she seemed interested and said she might be able to go, if only for a little bit, and asked me if it was worth it. I said "Hell yes", since anytime I can see my g/f now makes me a very happy man. Far from a ladies man. I'm usually very timid, but I'm more outgoing since my new job. I pretty much have to be dealing with high profile customers.
I believe she said 72 dollars, or 74. I can't remember if it included tax or not, probalbly not. You'll have to ask others I guess.

I don't believe the weather though. It was supposed to storm in Warsaw today. I've yet to see a drop. Stormed pretty good in Lafayette though.

Yep, that seems about the right weather for CougarFest at Indy doesn't it. Beautiful weather while we are there and of course the day we all drive home its rainy and drab to go with our post-cougarfest depression. Odd how that works out.
