I had previously installed aussie headlights in my car when i got it last year (cost about $500 for both housings brand new) and they take H7 euro style lowbeams and 9005 highbeams. I bought I think sylvania brand blue/white bulbs at the time. I know there are 2 different versions, one being the german variant high quality and one being a cheap knock off with the same name sold in America, anyway mine were the european brand and lasted a year now until one of them just burned out.

Now Im looking to get again some white/blue H7s to match the side lights which I bought white/blue LED bulbs for. Im not looking for extreme blue just a hint of blue. I found this pair:

H7 Blue-White High Wattage by Lumiko Bulbs HID (http://www.yourhotcar.com/prod/Lumiko/Bulbs_&_HID/Lumiko_White-Blue/H7_Blue-White_High_Wattage/82)

It looks to be OK except the 100W output. Anyone tried any 100W bulbs in their cougars? Normal is 55W, and my lights flicker when accellerating/braking because of the problem most cougars already got with the power output not being steady. I had that problem checked out by Ford mechanics and they suggested replacing the alternator. after that, the lights flickered less but still a bit, and since I had installed alternate lights and brighter bulbs the flickering was more noticeable. Im not even sure if 100W bulbs would work at all even if they fit the same H7 socket.

EDIT:
I was doing some searching online, it seems Philips and Osram are the two leading brands in light now. Heres some options Im looking at...

Philips BlueVision (decent blue coloration but nothing about being brighter than regular halogens):

Philips X-Treme Power (extremely bright pure white, would probably make my flickering even more noticeable):
http://www.lighting.philips.com/in_en/consumer/carlighting/1_car_lighting/products_for_car/9_xtremepower.php?main=gb_en_consumer_lighting&parent=89083467512&id=in_en_car_lighting&lang=en
Heres a youtube video showing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNXfhrQTdaw&feature=related

Philips Diamond Vision 5000K blue/white. Judging from this video, these are most likely what I want. They would match my LED side lights:
http://www.revver.com/video/352041/philips-diamond-vision-5000k-tuning-xenon/
But this video says Xenon tuning, my car isnt xenon so the H7 halogen bulb wont nearly look as good as in this video I bet.

There is also a latest bulb called Philips Power2Night GT-150 or some ****, basically they combined the 50%+ vision plus light with the blue tint and its their first bulb with added brightness AND blue color. Supposedly like the Diamond but a bit brighter even. Cant find any videos of pictures of it yet however.

SO... what Im looking for is one simple website to buy any of these bulbs on. So far this is the best site but it only has the H7 Philips Blue Vision and Philips Power2Night bulbs:
http://www.xenondirect.com/home.php?cat=261
This site has the X-Treme Power pure white bulbs:
http://www.bulbs.com/eSpec.aspx?ID=14831&Ref=Category&RefId=13&Ref2=Light+Bulbs
And this one has the apparently rare to find Philips Diamond H7s:
http://www.ipmart.com/main/product/Philips,DiamondVision,Halogen,Bulb,For,Car,Headlig ht,,H7,42670.php?sort=price_asc&in=0&find=Philips%20bulb%C2%AE=2dayblog&prod=42670

What a mess that is, hmm? I wonder why I cant find a premier Euro lighting site which carries every type of these new bulbs. Thats what Im hoping someone might show me. also some thoughts on which lights you think are the best, if you tried any of these out, etc etc. thanks.

No to 100W bulbs.

Also try PIAA X-treme white bulbs. They offer that blue-white color that you are looking for.

No, mine are regular 55W lights, so I take it 100W is HID then. Which I dont have. Anyway I ended up ordering Philips Diamond Vision 5000K blue/white bulbs. They are exactly the type of blue i was looking for, not extremely blue, just slightly so. They match pretty closely my LED side bulbs which are very white with a hint of blue. For my brights I still use some high-end brand of ultra-bright whites that I bought a year ago (Philips or Osram I think). They do have a bit of yellow tint but they are BRIGHT as hell.

I turned all my lights on so staring from the inside the highbeams are extreme white/yellow, the lows are white/blue, the blinker is a bright orange/amber bulb, and the side lights are white/blue LEDs. pretty awesome display of colors. But you gotta picture these lights inside the aussie headlights which Ive installed, they are completely silver chromed... heres where you can get them if you're interested. I upgraded mine from the ugly '99 US version.
