gamiller
06-07-2008, 11:56 PM
If your car has seen as many miles as mine, it's probably ready for a face lift. :) Offering leather boots with an OEM fit for your shifter and hand brake, Redline Goods has served over 7000 customers, some of whom are NECO members. There are many colors (http://www.redlinegoods.com/clrchart.shtm) from which to choose, including two-toned combinations with your choice of thread color. See below for examples.
What I'm offering through this GB is 20% off your total order, regardless of what you order, if we can get 10 orders.
Boots for shifter & hand brake AND armrest cover: $110 - 20% = $88
Boots for shifter & hand brake: $70 - 20% = $56
Boot for shifter (only): $50 - 20% = $40
Boot for hand brake (only): $50 - 20% = $40
Armrest cover (only): $60 - 20% = $48
Shipping is a flat $9 since this product is imported from Europe.
Making Payment
I prefer Paypal but will accept personal checks and/or Money Orders if I get them before the deadline. If using Paypal:

Here's how they describe their product:
OUR LEATHER is top grade Italian calfskin leather. It is much thicker (1mm, .04 inch - VERY thick) than the stock vinyl, which makes them form very nicely.
Our leather (right) vs OEM vinyl (left):
http://www.redlinegoods.com/images/general1.jpg
Underside of our leather (top) vs. Underside of OEM vinyl (bottom):
http://www.redlinegoods.com/images/general3.jpg
OUR STITCHING is double (most other makers use single stitching). It's more durable than single stitching because there are more rows of stitching holding the leather together.

I can vouch for Redline Goods being awesome (and they got their armrest pattern from my armrest taking a little trip over to Poland for a week or so ;))

Do these come with the plastic trim pieces that clip the boots into place, or is this just for the leather?
I'm in. I want black boots with light grey (or silver... something to match my grey leather seats) stitching. Shift and e-brake boots.
If possible, i'd like to combine shipping with the Autovation pedals.

I'll ask them about that. Surprisingly, there is only one red shown on the web page.

These do not come with replacement frames, so you need to attach them to your existing frame.

Looks to me like the closest matching color is "Burgundy" thread.
If you don't see the color you want, please ask them (info@redlinegoods.com) if they can get it, and how to choose it on the order form. Thanks!

Pricing for Priority Mail:

To help with selecting the proper color:
I have been told that 01+ consoles are "black." On earlier consoles, there are two shades of gray. The darker one is "charcoal" and the lighter one is "medium gray."
Personally, I am having a tough time between choosing black (to match the shift knob and brake handle and steering wheel) and choosing charcoal (to match the console and the seat bolsters). Time for Photoshop!

IMPORTANT UPDATE
I just got the invoice for the group buy today and the shipping charge is double what I estimated. I thought Redline could ship everything in one box to me, but that assumption was mistaken. The upside of this is that you will get your items even faster because they are coming directly from the manufacturer instead of through me. Because everything is being shipped straight from Europe, shipping is $10/order for each U.S. customer. Canadians have already paid enough to cover international shipping.
If you are outside the USA, you already paid me enough.
If you are inside the USA...
...and you paid $5 for shipping, please send another $5
...and you paid $3.50 for shipping, please send another $6.50
...and you paid $2.50 for shipping, please send another $7.50
Again, I apologize for the miscalculation. Your prompt payment ensures rapid processing of your order. Thanks everyone!

I've received a couple of inquiries, so I asked Redline Goods about keeping the GB open. They said that they will honor the GB prices if we get 5 buyers.
As for future customers (starting with this one)... There has to be a reward for having taken part in the group buy. If you round up another 5 "later comers" we can offer them the same pricing as the GB customers, but not to just one person. Agreed?
