Im gettin a full JL set up installed this week.. Just wondering if anyone has installed a W7 in their cougar, and what their experience is/was like?
Oh and how many amps is our stock alts?

jbl crown BPX 2200... and a JBL crown 300.4 powering the highs mids, I didnt run the both of them for long (less than a week), the added weight was rediculous... not to mention I couldn't think while sitting in the car, so I sold one and ran a single 13w7, and the JBL crown BPX 1100... sounded awesome... I had my alt rewound... the big 3... i cant think of anything else... it was almost 3 years ago now haha

i have two 10W7 but I never had them in the cougar. I had them in a 4runner and they sounded great so I would say if its in the cougar they would sound super bad ass. Keep in mind JL is very particular about what amp and enclosure u use. They have recommend specs online for those models.

ya thats not a problem because i bought the HO box.. im finally dynamating the whole hatch and front doors too.. its gunna rock

i heart JL. i had 2 12w6 in the back of my mustang.....back massages......ahhhhh rich would have been jealous lol .i also had 1500w going to them and a cap

Well I went with the 1000/1 and **** is ridiculous.. The C5s in the door sound great too..
The Dynamat on the doors makes a huge difference with the sound as well as the road noise.. I didnt get the hatch done, but thats next on the list..

Looks good. I have never had a JL before but I had a Eclipse Titanium 12 in my Focus and it was probably may favorite system setup I have ever had.

i also heart diamond audio also.....but jl seperates have come up in recent years. there amps are good clean power. good choice
