NEWS FLASH:
I just spoke with the dealer I was using for this GB. He is so disappointed with sales that he lowered his prices another $10 for us!
If you want your pedals to say ROUSH, order them from here for $25 shipped (http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/R08050001/200005_Ford_Focus_Roush_Billet_Pedal_Kit__Manual__ Clearance.html) and then order an Autovation gas pedal from me in the other GB.
UPDATE: Monday June 2, 2008
Many of you did not like the look of the Roush gas pedal, and I can't blame you. The pedal was designed to fit the Ford Focus, which has a gas pedal only half as long as ours. That could have been deduced from the photos below, but I wanted everybody to be aware of what they were getting, so I ordered one set of the pedals, installed them, and took pics (Page 5). Seeing these pics has caused some folks to change their minds.
Rather than leave everybody with a deflated balloon, I contacted the company that made pedals I bought last year through another group buy. They have agreed to do a group buy with us and give us discount pricing on individual pedals as well! This means that you can get a full set of pedals that fit well and look great at a deep discount, whether or not you want them to say Roush. Damn, I'm good.
I am going to start a new thread with all the pricing and specs and pics for the aluminum pedal sets that do not say ROUSH. This thread will remain for people still interested in the Roush pedals. I still need at least 20 buyers for the price to remain at $35 shipped. For an additional $25 I can send you a full-sized, gas pedal whose finish will match the Roush pedals (i.e. machined) made by reputable company. Now let's update the buyer list with who wants the Roush pedals and whether or not you want the upgraded gas pedal. Even if you are currently on the list, please confirm your status. Thanks.
Original Post
Got a green light from the interest check. This GB is for Roush, aluminum, racing pedals, pictured below, for $35 shipped. Paypal me, gamiller@vt.edu. You can also send a check but it must clear the bank (3-5 days) before I place your order. Payment must be received by noon Friday, June 6, so that I can place the order that day. The pedals come with installation hardware and installation instructions.

Here are some pics of the Roush pedals compared with the Autovation pedals:
Note how much thicker the Roush pedals are. The Roush pedals are on top.
http://photos.edebris.com/catalog/photo/12793/800/800/25.jpg
Here you can see a comparison of the dimensions.
http://photos.edebris.com/catalog/photo/12791/800/800/25.jpg
http://photos.edebris.com/catalog/photo/12792/800/800/25.jpg
The Autovation pedals pictured above have a "satin" finish. The Roush pedals have a "machined" finish. The Autovation pedals can also be purchased in a "machined" finish, so don't use that as your discriminating criterion.
The brake and clutch pedals are similar in size and shape, and the mounting holes are in the same place. The real difference between the two makes is in the gas pedals! The Autovation pedal is oversized whereas the Roush pedal is smaller than stock.
The oversized pedal is favorable for heel-toe maneuvers; however, it could be a problem for people with wide shoes. In stark contrast, the Roush pedal maximizes the distance between the throttle and the brake, making a transition from throttle to brake slower .
If shoe size is not an issue for you, then you might want the Roush pedals anyway if attempting to complete the Roush image inside and out.
Lastly, the Roush pedals are a closeout item, so we can get them for about one-third the price of the Autovation.

I just noticed the shipping deal for the Canadians. Does this mean if we Americans order both the pedals & the knob we only pay $60 instead of $70? Or even just $65?

Question... Do these screw on or how do they mount? I had a set of machined pedals before getting the XR pedals and could never get them to fit right. Im guessing the gas pedal needs cut down or modded to get the plate on it?...Are these made for the focus I'm assuming? Sorry so many questions but I love how these look but like how the XR pedals fit.....

Good questions. Yes, these are Roush Focus pedals. The clutch and brake pedals are bolted into place after the rubber pedals are removed and holes are drilled. The throttle pedal is screwed into place on top of the plastic pedal. I will attempt the installation myself this weekend.

I would like to see them installed before making a decision...If the bend in the pedal is not the same as the bend in the roush cover it will be a PITA to mess with. Get to work, HEHE:tongue:

I got the gas pedal on before the rain storm arrived. The good news is that the bend in the aluminum pedal follows the contour of the throttle perfectly. The bad news is that the aluminum pedal is much shorter, but we already knew that from the pics I posted. From my perspective, we have three alternatives: don't install the gas pedal, install the gas pedal anyway, or acquire and install a better gas pedal. I'll post pics of options 1 & 2. I am currently investigating option 3; I asked Autovation about selling us just the gas pedals in a machined finish.

The rain let up so I took some pics. Here are my current, aftermarket "racing" pedals after almost 10 years. Unfortunately, they are made from steel and so they suffer from rust; whereas, aluminum pedals will not.
http://photos.edebris.com/catalog/photo/12794/500/500/50.jpg
Here are the Roush pedals (minus the clutch). As stated before, the gas pedal looks a bit short. You could hack the plastic pedal in half, but that might make moving between gas and brake difficult... and dangerous.
http://photos.edebris.com/catalog/photo/12795/500/500/50.jpg
Safer and better looking IMO would be to forego the Roush gas pedal, installing just the clutch and brake. This is what I would do if I didn't want to spend more than $35 on this project. I would wash the plastic pedal and paint it black if needed.
http://photos.edebris.com/catalog/photo/12796/500/500/50.jpg
I am investigating getting gas pedals from Autovation that are guaranteed to fit and match the Roush look. They would be shaped like the one in this picture but have the machined finish rather than the satin finish in the pic. It will be available for $25.

depending on the price of the autovations, i think i'd be more interested in those. Even the plain aluminum ones, it just looks too tacky with a black rubber pedal under the roush pedal...
also, i would be 10x happier if we could get a matching dead pedal...

Im looking a bit closer at the mounted roush pedal and would think if it was mounted near the middle of the actual pedal and you trim off a bit of the bottom and top of the actual pedal it might look ok.

the bend in the pedal would make it difficult to mount it lower.

gamiller, CAREFUL! Autovation does NOT have a template for our deadpedal. it is DIFFERENT than the contour! I say this because I bought from their group buy like 2 years ago assuming they were the same. They are more than accomodating to make a corrected one if you send them a template but I didnt out of sheer lazyness [and actually they continued to bug ME about it for a full year... good example of their awsome customer service].

^^^ you sound confused, friend. perhaps there are too many combinations in this discussion: Roush pedals, Roush pedals + matching Autovation gas pedal, and the full Autovation pedal set. I posted a pic of the Autovation gas pedal. You have your choice of either machined finish (like the Roush pedals) or satin finish (like in the pic I posted). Have a look at the photos in the Autovation GB that I post tonight.
Bensenvill, i just took a pic that looks alot like the one you posted. To me the dead pedal fits and looks fine on the stock foot rest. What's your complaint? Slightly too big?

yes it entirely has to do with the finish of the metal.
and just to head off your other question. NO they will NOT engrave the Roush name into the autovation gas pedal. That is a copyright infringment and this is a legitamit business that they run.

on the contour that is what the stock "dead pedal" looks like, ours is rounded off. yes I am kinda nit picking on this but through the holes you should see the underlying rubber, not carpet material [I guess this would be the comparison to your existing pedal covers and the roush ones that are replacing them. your existing ones dont look bad but when put next to something of genuine fit and finish its a world nicer]... and like I said, they are more than willing to make us a corrected dead pedal, simply need to trace/make a cutout of the rubbered area and fax them a copy of it.

That's less than 10 buyers, so we no longer qualify for a group buy discount. If I don't have ten payments by Friday, I am canceling the group buy and refunding everybody.

Autovation GB has commenced! Questions about those products should be fielded over there. The Roush GB will remain open until Friday. I don't see any reason to keep it open longer than that.
Again, the gas pedal upgrade is $25, which when added to the cost of the Roush pedals ($35) brings the total to $60/set. If you want your pedals to say "Roush" order these. If you don't want them to say "Roush" or don't care, please check out the Autovation group buy. Thank you.

What was the price without the group buy? I don't think I saw that anywhere in the thread.

If you cant get enough people we could direct some people from focaljet to order them for their focus. That might be too much trouble tho.

I thought of that and searched around both Focal Jet and Focus Fanatics. The Focus community can get the SVT Focus pedals really cheap. They seem to like those better because they aren't just overlays but full pedals.

Refund please. I'm still trying to decide whether or not I want the Autovation pedals or not. Thanks for the effort man!

NEWS FLASH:
The dealer I was using for this GB is so disappointed with sales that he lowered his prices another $10 for us!
If you want your pedals to say ROUSH, order them from here for $25 shipped (http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/R08050001/200005_Ford_Focus_Roush_Billet_Pedal_Kit__Manual__ Clearance.html) and then order an Autovation gas pedal from me in the other GB for another $25.
