Okay, it's time for a meet.
The cars should be out of hibernation and school is out for the summer...

Where do we want to go? What do we want to do? When do we want to do it?

Pick all dates that you can attend. Please only vote if you plan to attend.

Everyone is welcome, but if I see votes for people who aren't from around here, I'll assume you voted by mistake.
So, if you're visiting us, let me know! :)

Also post suggestions on what we can do!

 Love the last option. I'll have to look at my social calendar.

My idea for the DeLorean Car Show (http://www.deloreancarshow.com/) meet doesn't look like it's going to pan out - they don't seem to have an actual car show like we do at CF... at least, I couldn't find one on the schedule (the "show" they have seems to be an indoor show where they have vendors that make stuff for the DeLoreans). I sent an email to the contact address a couple weeks ago to ask if there was an actual car show, and they never responded. :(

I'm pretty flexible on dates, just can't do June 21 since I have exams most of the day.

Anybody up for an Orioles game? :shrug:June Schedule (http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=bal&m=6&y=2008)
Any other ideas?

What happened to it?

She blew the engine a while back. A long while back. It's been under repair for quite some time. :)

 That one wasn't directed at you, just that it has indeed been out and that it is definitely up and running. ;)

The Get Smart movie is coming out June 20. I'm camping that weekend, and I'm hoping to get out to see it while camping, but I have a sneaking suspicion that won't happen, so that could be an idea for the following weekend. I'm about as eager to see that as I was the Simpsons movie. (I love Get Smart almost as much as I love the Simpsons.) Just tossing out that idea.

Well right now the 14th is winning, with the 15th right behind...

Tigg
06-07-2008, 04:24 PM
Okay, the 14th is the winner.

Now for the hard part. Where/when?

The Orioles host the Pirates at 7:05 if anybody wants to do that.
Theres always lunch/dinner, movies, mini-golf...
Lost in the 50's meets at Marley Station Mall on Saturday evenings if we want to look at the old cars.

The Lost in the 50s sounds good to me - we could get dinner and go see some classic cars. I've wanted to do that but haven't gotten around to it.

When Sherrie, Jason, Nia, Henry and I talked last night we were talking about doing the Orioles/Pirates game at 7. But now Henry is backing out. :(

 Winner. :)
Talked to Sherrie & Jason and they agreed this makes more sense since Henry is working until 5:30.

So, the Lost in the 50's group meets up at Marley Station Mall (http://www.shopmarleystation.com/) on the Route 2 side (just drive around until you see it if you think you went the wrong way). We are NOT allowed to park within their group. Just park in the regular mall parking and walk over.

In the mall there is a normal food court and 2 restaurants - Ruby Tuesday and Rocky Run. Both are busy on the weekend. We can eat there or go elsewhere.
Close by we have Bennigan's, Glory Days, Olive Tree, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Carrabba's, Ledo's, Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Three Brothers, and 5 Guys.
Annapolis has Macaroni Grill, TGI Friday's, Noodles & Co., Fuddrucker's, Applebee's, Famous Dave's, Red Lobster, Chevy's, and others that I'm not remembering at the moment.
Arundel Mills is also about 10 minutes away.

What time?

StealthyWeasel
06-10-2008, 02:49 PM
After 3 perhaps? Katelyn and I will be there:)

Tigg
06-10-2008, 06:14 PM
Definitely after 3, the Lost in the 50's cars won't even get there until around 6 or so. :)

skater
06-10-2008, 08:20 PM
I'm pretty flexible on time, so whatever works for Henry and everyone else is fine.

I'm looking at the list of restaurants. :)

Tigg
06-10-2008, 09:27 PM
Henry gets out of work around 5:30 so we won't see him until around 6:30-ish...

Dinner before or after the "show"?

skater
06-11-2008, 07:30 AM
Does Henry want to do dinner? If so, we should wait until after the show. Actually I'd say after the show in general is probably better.

After wins!
I think Henry may be busy at the sanitarium since he's talking about himself in 3rd person...
Okay, so meet at Marley Station around 6:30 and hang out for a bit before going to get some food. Sound good???

Yeah. There were a couple Fords but it was definitely GM-heavy.

There's usually a much better mix, but the threat of rain kept the attendance way down. If there's enough interest, we can try again another night this summer. :)

:flushed: I can picture the engine bay, and it was one of the first cars we looked at. We stood there for a while... But I can't remember what it was.

By the order of the picture, I think it was one of the later cars, actually. It was to the left of the hot rod with no hood and the hot rod with flames (if we were standing in front of those), across from the red and white Vette.
