So the other morning I woke up to my mom saying "Natty i think you have a flat" so Im thinkin its my mom shes pretty much blind shes going crazy. :crazy:
So I got outside and there it is my rear passanger side tire flat.:mad:
The night before I was takin the back roads and my car was hitting bumps quit hard. So I had to pull the damn tire off and bring it to get plugged, It was a damn nail. Why is it that ever since I got this car I have nothing but problems? my 91 acura integra had more mileage and less problems. If anyone can answer me that question you are GOD!:banghead:

Get rid of it before it only causes you more headaches. It's been proven that ONLY Cougars can get flat tires. Hondas and Acuras are immune to such catastrophic failure.

But speaking of bugs!! I spider was in my car it dropped down and climbed back up!! these cars are DEF prone to problems!! i have to get rid of it!

Get the spider out first. The dealership won't give you crap for the car with a spider inside. Car salesmen are deathly afraid of spiders. We all eat spiders in our sleep anyways, so just look at it as a free snack.

Well We always get caught in the end!! no matter how hidden or how stealth we are. I dont even try anymore!!
And that whole spider situation I was thinkin about trading my car in this weekend but i just cant now. I dont lie so I HAVE to tell them about that spider AND the tire problem. I just dont know what to do anymore....:banghead:

Alright guys play nice. You really should have thought when you bought a ford product, there is a reason it's cheaper than a foreign product. You get what you pay for. Don't trade it in, because you won't get ...t. Just drive it and keep on fixing it, put your schooling to work.

And most of the newbies on NECO have older cougars with more than 50K miles on them.... they are bound to have problems.
I mean, my wife's Hyundai was $13,000 brand new, and I've had to replace the clutch, brakes, clutch switch (twice), and the paint is coming off... and its got less than 45,000 miles on it!
Don't worry LdyCgr... your problems are minor. and My wife is one of those non-normal women too, so you are in good company! :)

I'm not trashing fords greg. I loved both fords i had, but it's simple if you by the cheapest good looking car on the lot. IE: a cougar, you are bound to have problems with it. And you know as well as I do cougars have more problems than most cars. I loved my cougar and miss it. There are all kinds of +++ for buying a cougar, but 1 of the biggest --- is knowing you are going to have to put money into it. Mazda is owned by ford anyway.

I feel that since not so many people have cougars that they jack up the prices for everything. I busted a headlight and no one carried them and if they did it would be like $300 just for one! Takes a lot of time and money for these cars to be nice. thats why Iam amazed with some of these cars on here they look awesome and they probably put so much time and money into them.

I work on a lot of different cars, and I can honestly say that Cougars Don't have that many problems compared to others that I have seen...
Personally, I HATE working on Chevys and Dodges!!!! the newer ones are even worse... everything in the engine bay is freakin' made of plastic, and the plastic parts cost WAY more than the older metal parts, and you can only get the newer plastic parts at the dealer!!!
with the Hyundai, there is just a lot of wear parts that need regular maintenance, and we drive it fairly hard... but I can say that the motor runs really strong, and should for a VERy long time... Every car has its problems.
I work on a lot of different cars, and I can honestly say that Cougars Don't have that many problems compared to others that I have seen...

i personally had more problem with my Prelude (gasp) than my Cougar. Maybe i didnt drive my Cougar as hard as my lude but only major problems i had so far with my baby was 2 dead alternator, sunroof (warranty fix), clutch (normal wear and tear). Not bad for 9 years.
And as far as my other cars from the past, Dodge daytona turbo and Mitsubishi Conquest...:rofl:

You must be using that word as a synonym for "married" b/c I don't think that Greg would have been able to reproduce so sucessfully if that were so, however, that would explain his angelic singing voice.
As far as the redundant argument of this brand/countries autos vs. that brand/countries autos. I really have nothing to add (not my particular area of expertise), however, It seems to have the same amount of problems that every other auto I have had. The only difference is that I have had acess to a plethora of knowledge in this forum and especially help from Greg. This newbie has 80k with a build date 5/14/98, with a mysterious history with only clues left behind like a half bottle of bourbon, and tiny shards of glass shuffling around every time I open the hatch. So she has seen some abuse before I took her on. If you just bought the car, then you are prob going through that second guessing stage. I felt like that, but it was b/c the dealership sucked and didn't fix anything correctly. Also they gave me the infamous promised passenger headlight lense. Took me a year of emails and phonecalls to get it. After the initial stress, I was fine. If I could go back, I would still buy the same car, just not from the same place. I'm sure if you ever come to one of the meets, and see what some of the members here have done to their cars, your opinions will change. Even more for you than I, b/c you allready have knowledge on cars.

Ya people always say hondas and imports last forever. My Acura needed a clutch, an AC compressor, My gear box was lose as **** (No jokes guys!!) Iam VERY happy with my cougar. Yes I complain ALOT but now its commin along since I got a headlight FINALLY HIDs and a free exhaust!!
My friend had a hyundai for years gave her no problems!
I think its just the way people take care of thier cars! I mean if u beat on it and really not keep up with it obvi its goin to have problems. But if you drive it like a normal human being and keep up with the maintanance it will last alot longer. Common sense.

Ya he does arediculous job!!!! We just bought a steam vac and i had discusting coffee stains and stuff in my back seat and the previous owner had a dog i used that steam vac and the interior looks BRAND new!! I will get you guys a whole price list. He is AMAZING at what he does and ill show you some pictures when i get home.
