AARRGGGGHHH!!!!

I can't believe that game! Seriously, the Refs blew that game for us... they started to attempt to "even" the game out, but in the end, they just made some Horrible calls!!!

PLUS, Davis was throwing shots up around the paint, and not even looking at the basket! And what a terrible game overall! 74-69 final score! weak for a game 6 second round, but whatever... GAME 7 better be ours!!!!!!!!!!!

I really like Lebron as a player, but, how the hell does he get to push off and shoot a fade away and then the defense get called for a foul. ok, pierce does it too but not to the extent Lebron does.

Not that I am trying to pose as a sports fan here, but, if they continue thier pattern, shouln't they win at home in game 7? It would be nice if they face the Lakers in the Finals.

There is nothing like a game 7. But if the Celtics don't step up there going home. Allen has been shooting like crap, and Rondo has bailed them out the whole series. If they don't slow down Lebron it's all over.

What a great game! Awesome epic battle between Pierce and Lebron! SOOOO Glad we won that Game 7!!!

It was like pulling teeth in the last quarter watching that game! I was sitting on the edge of my couch that whole quarter... all I can say is P.J. Brown was worth getting just for the effort he put in that game alone! :)

and nice to see Eddie House contribute really solid minutes with some great defense!

Wooo Game 1 Eastern Conference Finals Tuesday night !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sami!

I don't really have anything to contribute to this thread, but I haven't seen you in forever, so I dropped in to say howdy-ho, good wrap-maker!

I may be out in Boston in June - my mom has an audit out there. I'm wondering if I could walk to the train station from work, the train's the cheapest way to get out there.

I said before the season, if the Suns couldn't get there, I wanted to see the Celtics win the title. And I still stand by that (even more so that they're playing those damned Lakers).

I saw this video at the beginning of the season it you just had that "feeling", that is everything worked out, the Celtics would be in the Finals.

HOLY CRAP, I'm freakin' nuts!

I just bought 2 Game 2 tickets off of EBAY (less than what a broker is charging ) and paid WAY more than I would have liked!!!

BUT, it is well worth it to just attend a game like this what that kind of atmosphere... Dawn is most likely going with me, as she has got into the games a bit during the last 30 games or so...

So EXCITED, but DAMN, what a price! I could have bought my intercooler, AEM UEGO, and Xcal2 for what I paid for those 2 tickets...

Don't say that to my friend in CA...a die-hard Indians fan. The day the Sox finished off his Indians, he posted on his website that the Red Sox would sweep the Rockies in the World Series...just after Colorado swept both the Diamondbacks and Phillies. I thought he was crazy. Gotta admit, the guy's got balls! :ty:

I haven't had the chance to post since the game until now, but:

WHAT A GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the greatest game/event/ time I've ever had in my life!!!

I am so glad I bought those tickets, and that is an experience I will charish for the rest of my life!!! My adrenaline was pumping so hard I thought I was going to cry half way through the game! I can barely talk still today, as I was cheering, yelling, screaming the entire game!

I can't say enough how much of an amazing experience a NBA Finals game is!

that and just before the game when we were standing in line to get in, Magic Johnson walked past me nearly 6 feet away... that was pretty cool!

The season ticket holder i bought those 2 tickets from has game 6 and 7 available, and she says that she may or may not sell them, but I have first shot at them if she decides not to go to Game 6 if they make it back home for it... So THERE, if she sells them!!

I LOVE THE CELTICS!!!

I dunno what's more thrilling for me - knowing another Boston team is kicking arse, or seeing Greg so happy!
I'm not big on basketball, but I definitely love seeing Greg enjoying himself so much. You deserve it, big guy. :)

Thanks Kim! This is the greatest feeling for me right now. Just had a really rough 6 months, and the CELTICS have really pulled me through this year! I LOVE basketball and don't get to play much anymore, so the next best thing is the CELTICS!!!

Thanks Brian! :) BTW, I still need to get to drive your SeVT...

When I went to Game 2, I brought a friend of mine, who has been a co-worker for the last 8 years. He is about 52 years old, and a die-hard CELTICS fan. I went to High School with his second Cousin and we were on the Basketball team together. We just have a lot in common, despite the age difference. It was the BEST to have him with me at the game, we just had the greatest time enjoying live basketball. he couldn't thank me enough for the experience ( I basically gave him the ticket for nothing, since Dawn couldn't go, he drove us to the game, paid for dinner, and beers at the game). But I only have a few really close friends like Mark that could have really enjoyed Game 2, especially after My friend Dave passed away.

Anyway, this is the BEST. I don't know what I'm gonna do when the WIN the title!!!

GO GREEN!!! # 17

This team is the anti-patriots team. You can see they enjoy playing the game, don't have egos (largest thing in my book), and really care about each other. I just want KG to win his ring(s) with Boston so people will shut up about him being a choke artist, not winning when it matters, and to show he is one of the best players ever......and to rub it in McHales face, that all he needed to do was surround him with 2 quality players to win. He had Ray Allen as a teammate at one point, for about 5 minutes before he was traded (by McHale) to Milwaukee for Stephon (It is all about me) Marbury. Or trading Brandon Roy for Randy Foye. Now MN is the old Boston Celtics...at one point having all the guys from the Garnett trade, Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks, Antoine Walker. We keep getting worse, while you guys are in the finals. I think McHale is actually still working for Boston.

What a rough game to watch!

Great comeback AGAIN! then just hung on until the last 45 seconds until Bryant had that lucky steal... looked more like Pierce just lost the ball  Tough loss, but we didn't play defense very well in the late 4th quarter, and its hard to get good rhythm when you have guys in foul trouble all game!

Anyway, Game 6 "should" be it... just like I called it before the series started.
We looked flat, a little anxious, and defense just wasn't the norm.

Go Celtics!!

Yeah, I know... I think after Sami's 3L swap this weekend, I can start focusing on it again. I just ordered new piping kit for the SVT, so I can finally square away the exhaust fitment problem, and I actually did an oil change on the SVt after I swapped out the exhaust so Roger can have his back now...;)

Money is kinda tight to be able to get all of the SC parts I need right now, but I just have to focus on body work and paint... the rest will fall into place.

I'm just so happy that the CELTICS won and now I can focus and working more, and getting things squared away... Seriously, The CELTICS were the BEST distraction I've ever had

Anyway, Game 6 "should" be it... just like I called it before the series started.

A FREAK COINCIDENCE???

I don't know if anyone in the media mentioned this or not, but yesterday the following dawned on me. In 1986, the Patriots, Celtics and Sox all made it to their respective championships....only 1 team won....the Celtics against the Lakers in 6 games. In '08, the same thing happened with the Celtics beating the Lakers in 6 games. :)

In '86, the Patriots had the biggest blowout in NFL Super Bowl History. Ironically, they suffered "arguably" the most surprising defeat in SB history in '08. :(

The Red Sox currently have an 8 game World Series winning streak. The last time they lost was Game 7 of....you guessed it...the '86 World Series.

Will be really interesting if the same thing happens again this year. It would seem hard to believe the Sox would make the World Series without BOTH Schilling and Ortiz healthy, but right now no-one in either the AL or NL is running away with their divisions. A few people actually said earlier this week that a Sox/Phillies WS is possible.
Right now, a Sox/Diamondbacks WS would seem more likely.

Thoughts?

I just read an incredible article that my friend gave me today at work, and it mentions in a paragraph all of the weird number combinations that have 6 1 and 7 in it that have a relation to the Finals and Boston... Crazy stuff!!!

If I have time, I'll type it up here this weekend...
