PLEASE tell me you didn't get rid of the infiniti for that!
I like the Sky better than the Solstice, but I hate the seats positioning, I drive all the way back and right on the ground, the seats didn't have the adjustability for me. Looks good though, and I'm sure it's fun as hell to drive. My moms 2002 Z3 3.0L was a blast, so I'm sure this is about the same.
Grill delete that thing.....and is it just me or does the spoiler on that look VERY similar to the cougars stock spoiler lol
EDIT....and HOLY **** cut that ariel down!

Hahah...
Actually, I ditched the G last fall. Have bought/sold a lot of cars in the last few years, and knew the used market was going to tank badly, so got rid of the G *right* before it did (and luckily!). Still miss it -- was super badass. But with the SKY, I have a lighter car, better handling, faster all around, and 40MPG highway!. (Massiv's results may vary). Breathing a sigh of relief that I pocketed some change and am more fuel efficient to boot with the gas the way it is lately!
You're right though.. not too much adjustability in the seats, but luckily, it worked out for me. Thing is just a go-kart on boost. Only thing is... I'm not going to keep my license very long. :(

Oh man. Nice ride.
Agreed. Still got the cougar? It was definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite.

I drove the solstice once. Fun little cars. I def. would get in a lot of trouble with them. Theres parts that i like about both the SKy and Solstice. And now that GM is throwing that engine on the Cobalt SS. Alot more aftermarket will pop up for it. Wasnt too fun driving it in the snow though.

Ah yes... the Coug. Miss it too... Sold it at the end of last summer to "Mike" on NECO. Rumour has it he's been taking better care of it than I ever did:

Had picked up this badass thing the summer before and couldn't have two cars in downtown Toronto (too much hassle & parking tix):

Sold that last fall and picked up an SUV for the winter. Now it's summer, and am LOVING the SKY.... super fun.. Kinda nice to be back into the domestics and not afraid of breaking things. Got a great deal, so left myself some cash for mods.
As for those mods.... YES! Already pushed it up from 14psi to 18psi and have a new intercooler and mandrel-bent piping in the mail. Will finish 2008's mods in the next month with a new downpipe, exhaust, and chip. Most people are getting big gains out of the car... Looking forward to dynoing after the new setup!

Very nice car!!! Smart move getting ride of the Infiniti. Used market is getting softer and softer, and with gas prices going the way they are, people are gonna be minding their pockets and looking for more economical vehicles. Plus you prolly got out before any major maintenance cycles hit I assume too.
The General is making the biggest moves of the '3', and this is one of their best foots forward.
Great choice.
I noticed you have OnStar in it. I could never figure out why they could use one antenna for OnStar and the radio. Seeing how when OnStar is in use, the radio is disabled.

how the hell do you find the time to change cars so often? I have a cougar that i don't even drive, and i can't find the time to do an emissions test to get it back on the road, let alone sell it...

All true, dude. That was exactly it. Big car, sucking down premium, and everyone's starting to cut back and go smaller. Plus, the US influx of cars due to the rising canuck buck was tanking the segment badly. It was purely an economical choice to drop the G -- and did get out before there were any issues. Think there was maybe... dunno... 12K on it? 14K maybe? Something like that.
Totally agree with you on your thoughts on GM too. I have been sadly watching Ford and GM drop the ball for the past few years, and have thought that if they were to put out a car I wanted, (and it *appeared* like quality wasn't going to be an issue), then I would buy it. Have to say, I've been very pleased with the experience so far... Really love some of GM's other vehicles these days too, like the Acadia.
The OnStar and XM share that black antenna on the back. Actually used OnStar the other day... it was freaky. Little chat with someone right there over the speakers. Was asking them something about XM actually. They were polite.. "No sir, you don't have OnStar or XM radio enabled. Yes sir, you can press the button any time and setup an account right then if you're in an emergency." Pretty fun.. bit spooky.
Rasta: I follow the car markets in the US and Canada pretty closely, and change cars mostly based on market directions or change of seasons. Plus, I love cars and spend too much time in them, so might as well enjoy it, right?
Hamill: Glad i posted... you have some good ideas up there. Front saturn grill-delete... hrmmm... Atenna swap for sure. (I hate FM radio and never listen to it anyway so slightly reduced reception is fine by me).
