Buddy of mine got a 2000 cougar V6 - needs work

I went out with my friend yesterday and we picked up a 2000 cougar with 102,000 miles for $3,000 but it needs 4 tires,has oil leaks that need fixed, needs air intake since filter is extremely dirty and a nice short ram intake would be a good replacment once i find out if a cheap one would work ok on this car, also has some suspension things wrong with it that need worked on, and has some surface rust underneath and will need cleaned up and rhino lined.

So i have a 2006 chevy cobalt ss 2.4 aftermarket turbocharged automatic and im into racing it while my friend just wants a decent car to drive. Hopefully there are some helpful people and good info on this site.
