Hey everyone, I'm looking to sell my Cougar. Here's the details:

2002 Mercury Cougar XR 35th Anniversary Edition
2.5L V6, Automatic Transmission
79,000 miles
Red exterior, Black/Grey leather interior
This car is fully loaded: air, power steering, power windows, power locks, power seat, tilt wheel, cruise, traction control, flip-up roof, spoiler, hood scoop, premium wheels, leather, premium sound, 6-disc cd changer, ABS.
I'm looking to get $9,100 for the car. Too much?...make me an offer. Post here, or send me emails at slicksketcher@hotmail.com.

I'm in the Milwaukee area.

i would list all your mods you have done to the car because that doesnt look like a stock xr.

I have a cougar xr and mine looked like the pictures above too. the seats just have a cougar head doesnt say 35th anniversary and they are leather and match the car with black and red down the middle. The emblem on the little windows is an XR inside a circle. the rims are 17s with center caps with cougar head to match paint and on each inside piece of the rims there is black paint. Oh and that doesnt look like XR racing red, maybe just a bad day to take pics on? I'm not saying its not a red XR just saying it doesnt look stock stock to me.

edit: also you will have the black kinda leather door panels, xr floor mats, and i thought the xr version was always a five speed but i could be wrong about that.

Thats because its a 35th Anniversary Cougar not an XR model.

Anyways no more clutter, the car looks awesome, very clean! Good Luck!

Here's the description, my 02 falls in the category described by the bold, red text.

Mercury cages the Cougar after the 2002 model year, when it will discontinue this slow-selling sporty coupe. For its final season, Cougar comes in price-leader 4-cyl form and in base-trim V6 and V6 Sport, Sport Premium, and Sport Ultimate models. Added midyear was a V6 35th Anniversary Edition package. Automatic transmission is optional for V6s only. Cruise control, remote keyless entry, and rear wiper/washer are standard on all Cougars. Sports come with rear disc brakes (vs. drums) and 16-inch wheels (vs. 15s). Front side airbags are standard for Sport Ultimate, unavailable on other models. Sport Ultimate also includes ABS and traction control, which are available for other V6 Cougars. Sports offer an XR package with 17-inch wheels, hood scoop, spoilers, and special interior appointments. The Anniversary Edition builds on the XR package with unique emblems and hood scoop, chromed 17-inch wheels, and an in-dash CD changer.

Candy Read exterior

I know you meant Red here, but if the car is stock paint then you should remove the word "Candy", as no Cougar came with a Kandy paintjob. Tri-coat, yes, Kandy, no -- big difference in the paint world.

It is a fully stock 02 XR with the 35th Anniversary Edition package.

those pics prove it's a 35th, but we're pretty sure that it's not an XR for the reasons given above.

regardless, good luck with the sale.
