So on my way home up 206 a laser red coug with euro headlights and an aftermarket exhaust comes past me in the opposite direction. Actually looked like a younger guy too. If it wasnt for traffic i probably would have waved him down and told him to get on here. But whatever.

wait i was always wondering how many types of different headlights are there and in what ways do they differ??? for both 99-00 and 01-02 models...

Well the headlights changed a bit between the 99-00 to the 01-02 models. So where as the 99-00 design had the 3 round projectors with the "boobs" and black housing like the first picture, the 01-02 had a slightly different design inside, chrome housing, and where smooth surface without the "boobs" such as the second picture. Also the european/aussie models did not have orange reflectors such as in pic 3 and 4.

The picture with the bunny in the benz reminds me of what me and a buddy of mine wanted to do before my sunroof broke. I bought a bannan suit as last years halloween costune and we wanted to just randomly drive around wearing it and have it stick out the roof :rofl: just to see the looks on peoples faces. yeah i wouldnt really give it a 10/10 though... just the same GTA with new town, new storyline, a lil better graphics which arent even that good really =\ maybe it just seems that way after beating GT5 prologue cause those are actually pretty sweet graphics.. yet again comparing to san andreas its a great improvement :) probably wont be able to play it again til the weekend cause i got work tomoro and then finally some alone time with my girl :rolleyes: well gotta get some sleep enough of messin with the cops on GTA for tonight lol :biggrin: :rolleyes:

So on an unrelated topic my gf is thinking about trading in her tC for another car. Today we where at a VW dealership for her to try out the rabbit. While there I noticed a used 06 GTI in the corner for 19k. So I test drove it myself. ****in hell that thing is fast. Nearly gave the salesman a heart attack when i pulled off the lot and promptly put the peddle to the floor. After getting back I popped the hood to find it had some aftermarket work already on it. I probably would have bought it right there if it wasnt for the fact it was an automatic. Kinda makes me sad knowing my cougar wont accelerate like that car did. At least not without some heavy modifications.

I def like the new GTI's. Musta been a fun test drive a buddy of mine was looking to buy a new eclipse. he couldnt afford the GT V6 and was leaning towards the I4 :rolleyes:. But i went with him cuz i was interested, and he isnt so good at stick yet so i tagged along. He tested out the Automatic 4 cylinder and i wanted to see the difference power wise :evil:. I warned the guy ahead of time, saying listen, im not gonna baby it... hang on to you a**. He gives me the answer i was looking for " SURE GO AHEAD" :evil::evil::evil::evil: lemme tell you, Spinning 1st, 2nd and chirping 3rd was like :goofy:. I almost wanted one :biggrin:

I have been playing with the idea of buying a new car for a few months now. Its just that I got so much **** going on in my life adding a car payment will just be one more thing to worry about. Not that I couldn't afford it but the necessity just isn't there since the cougar is running with no problems. Besides I wouldn't even bother trading it in since the value is so low. But then I come across cars like the GTI...which although fun I would actually be more inclined to get a G37s and get some real nice power. It's gonna be a while before I do that though. The gf would kill me if I showed up with a new car before she got the ''ring".

When the new ecplise spyders came out I took a v6 one out. I wanted to drive the manuel but they wouldnt dig it out of the back so I had to drive the auto. I put it in auto stick mode and managed to freak the hell out of the dealer. I was taking cornors marked 25mph at over 60mph, just man handeling it around these back roads. My roomate was cramed into the tiny back seat, and was asking me where I learned to drive like that. He has a 330xi with an auto and he never shifts it himself. I told him video games..haha... The deal just said "Dont kill me and Im not responsable for any tickets." Its a nice looking car but its so akward to sit in if your tall like me, and even though it has a nice motor it has a fat a$$ and just doesnt live up to hype. Feels like you have a back seat full of fat chicks when you cornor. And that weight just kills the acceleration.

Yea i see what ure saying. The mirrors on it are weird as hell too. Thyre set back further on both sides and feels like if u hang ure arm out the window on a nice day u might break it off, and the gearbox is just weird feels offset aswell. I kept thinking i was going into third, but it was really first. Just the way it was was weird. Still a fun drive. I just wanted it for the power. Thing was quick tho.

Although in the end it doesn't matter since I gotta get a ring for the gf before I drop major cash into the coug otherwise my life will be one of those "my gf left me cause of my car" deals.
