If you really want some dumb kids to bother you getting on the highway then CT is the state for you. Last night went ot a concert in Hartford and as we leave one of the kids from my friends band pulls right out, almost next to me in his 04 GLI. My friends been buggin me cause he knows the GLI runs a 13.9 sec 1/4(he did it once) and has 240 whp(dynoed on mustang dyno) so i say what the hell, 15 mph roll, ok. We start from the light and at the first sign we both smash it. He started in low 2nd, i was at 3800 in 1st, jumped a car on him and then pulled maybe another hood length or so before we hit a turn. Score 1 for the cougar. Then today some stupid staten island dick with his friend in the car pulls up to the light with his techno blaring in his IS300, exhuast(thats all i saw). No intention to race, we both start from the light, hes got maybe 1/2 a car when i hear him down shift and punch it. I'm like, o hell no u dumb prick and just lay into high in 1st again and just go walking past him from 30-60 no problems. They both just stared at me at the next light with the most confused expressions on their faces:rofl: I sware i didn't know i was missing so much without an MTX and a 3L. That means you need one too. GET A 3L TODAY!!!!!!!!

3L cougar performs the same as the new turbo sport compacts, nearly stock. IE as a stock cobalt ss or so

But what sucks is, who buys a turbo sub compact these days and leaves it stock? A few mods and itll blow a 3L out of the water.

Exactly. Seriously, if that's the case, I'll just wait and get a new car with a lot more HP and with a good aftermarket support (think V8 RWD).

Sure its easy to make a mustang fast, or any of the newer boosted cars. But i enjoy working on the cougar, it turns a lot of peoples heads. Seeing my car go from a slow bone stock ATX 2.5 to a decently quick MTX 3.0 is very rewarding to me. I put my car in a small car show the other day and i talked to one of the judges about my car and what it had been through and they gave me 3rd place in the 6 cylinder class over a couple twin turbo supras and a VR4..... made me feel good anyway

haha pawned, sorry george.. ohh and had to say that the guy in the GLI probably started in to low of a gear when he raced you.. I've raced 3L and 2.5T and won. but then again I'm AWD and it was only a 1/4.
