Hey everyone, hopefully this isn't in the wrong section I havent started a new thread before. Haha, does anybody know where I can find a set of upgraded cams for my car?? Or if they even make them?? Also if you could drop a few websites that are great for getting exterior/performance parts for cougars that would be great. I know of promotiontuning and krazykustomz but I heard PT has a bad rep for getting your your stuff. Thanks a lot I appreciate it!!!:)

considering it is in the 2.0 section im guessing its a 2.0  they do make them but i cannot tell you were to get them. you might find some on focaljet or another focus forum, but im not 100% sure that they are all compatable

 I hate it when people do that haha sorry. I thought I had another in my favorites, but here is one Central Florida Motorsports, Inc.- Focus Performance Parts & Accessories - Product Search - Criteria: cam (http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?PageAction=PRODSEARCH&txtSearch=cam&Page=1)

Found it: ZXtuner.com - Sport Compact Performance (http://www.zxtuner.com/category.sc;jsessionid=A602005D76864DFC833ADB8875D DA169.qscstrfrnt02?categoryId=23)
and I'm not sure on compatability, I've just found these on my search for power

the intake focus intake cam will work but the exhaust cam will not due to the cougars having VCT. in all honesty, the stock cams actually have a decent profile but you can get more power out of them with a set of cam gears. if you have the money then i would suggest buying the FRPP focus head, a set of focus cams will then work, cam gears, and a tune. you can then turn off the VCT via the tune as well.
there are numerous places that you can find the parts and a quick search using "focus" instead of "cougar" should turn most of them up. my preference is massivespeedsystem (http://www.massivespeedsystem.com) and C-F-M (http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?PageAction=PRODSEARCH&txtSearch=cam&Page=1)

Yo Gtown, I live in Auburn/Lewiston Maine, maybe we can meet up sometime and you can give me some tips and tricks for my cougar. That would be tight, theres not a big cougar community where i'm from it'd be nice for someone else to share the cougar love!! hahaha.

Ha thats kind of exciting, first person I've seen on here from Maine. Go to EPTuners.com, its a forum for mostly Maine and the Northeast, and most people on there are pretty cool. Would love to see another cougar over there.

Has anyone used the MSX wires from the massive site? $40 seems decent, and they have them in yellow  Also, would the Samco hose kit for a focus zetec work on a cougar? Guessing there might be a few differences, but for the most part they should work?

the wires from massive should work fine as long as you have an MSD or early style (with the clips on the wires) coil pack.
there are to many differences in the cooling system lines to make buying the samco kit worth the cost.

Yeah it says to specify when ordering whether you have the MSD style or stock coil pack. Kinda sucks about the hoses though, they would look amazing.
