Has anyone else been noticing that newcougar has been loading pages slowly? At first I figured it was my wireless, but now I know its not, because every other forum I go to will load perfectly fine during times that these pages are loading slow.

Ehh, I've never had a problem logging on, I have it pretty much always open in a tab, and just standby my laptop when I'm not using it. It's just slow seeming.

I also noticed that it's giving an error icon at the bottom (IE7) when it says it's trying to find or waiting for site or whatever.

I've noticed between 7:30 and 8 a.m. eastern, almost every day, the site gets almost unusably slow. There must be something running around that time that causes a network bottleneck or a disk/CPU bottleneck. It's definitely just this site; other sites I'm browsing at the same time work well.

Site was unreachable for about 2 hrs yesterday for me, the rest of the net was fine but NECO was completely DOA.

Yeah, the forums kept giving me a page could not be displayed, or something like that, for about 15 minutes yesterday. Maybe they've been doing upgrades and just keeping it secret from us to give us all a big surprise....

Edit: Thats new, usualy when I click on emoticons, it gives me something like : smackhead : (without spaces). This time it actualy put the emoticon in the text screen... Like I said, maybe they are doing upgrades.

Trevor said it's an issue with the box and restarting it only gives him a short window to get in & fix the problem. Which is too short he said.

:banghead:I thought it was just my connection that's sometimes screwed up, but as it turns out it's the site and my connection! Seems like evrytime I have something important to ask the site won't load!

Then do like me, post pointless useless information and you can get on all the time. LOL

I haven't been able to get on here at all today, well until now obviously. But from about 10am - 4pm I've gotten nothing but 5-10 minutes of loading followed by page cannot be displayed...

Something has happened on the box over the last 72 hours to cause this, but I can't seem to find the exact reason. I will work on this over the weekend, but for now, it's up and running because I have killed the offending process that brought the box to it's knees today.

I figured it was the traffic spike from Defecator, coming from Jalopnik, 4Chan, and wherever else it got linked to.

That thread got a lot more long before it was posted on Jalopnik. That was honestly just a 2nd wave.

Most users ever online was 494, 04-17-2008 at 10:05 PM.

I don't ever remember seeing that number anywhere close to that before. Anyone remember what the "previous high" was?

His thread about the second turbo running off of a battery is up to 22,800 hits also LOL

Wait, you mean the airfoil turbo setup thingy? Like the ionic air purifiers use?

That technology does have potential... Just not as forced induction. Maybe for replacing the fan on the radiator. No moving parts to slice your figers up while working under the hood with the engine running.
