Yep thats right bit the bullet and accepted a counter offer on a house in Bloomfield Hills. It is a 19XX Sq. Ft. Place 3 bed 2.5 bath full basement 2 car attached garage, large living room, family room, dining room, eat in kitchen. Hardwood throughout sitting on just under a half acre. Half the windows are new the master suite is updated with a nice full bath and very large amount of closet. It was foreclosed and needs a heavy cleaning and the paint needs to be redone inside as most of the wall colors are not something I want to keep or they were not done that well. Should be closing in about a month maybe a little more than that. We got a rediculious deal that would disgust most people who bought their house in the past few years. We are paying about 58% of the previous sale value and there have been some updates done since then.

Thanks. I am pretty happy with it. Never thought I would be going into a white house but eh it is better for reflecting sun in the summer right?

Good find! Kari and I were just spying this house here in Fenton with waterfront starting in auction for $50,000 but it's estimated worth is 230,000. We are not in a position to buy yet, being I have no job yet, but it give us an Idea of how much of a buyers market it is around here!!

Well that thing fell apart slowly. About a month and a few busted pipes and other issues I found I am back to looking. Well atleast I am able to move 20 minutes closer to work than this place is.

SWEET I live in fenton. But I want to move out to Farmington, walled lake area where the money is. And yes, Beer is good, very very good.
Ohh btw, what year is the house? You said somethings about the walls being messed up. Are they plaster walls? If so man thats a ton of work taring those down. And its even harder redoing them, they are framed like crap, and the chances of any corner or wall or even a whole room being square is pretty slim. You can spend weeks just striping one small room of plaster walls. And a few lungs. Something to consider, gl tho.

That I have. I will post pictures up after we close or something. Well at least once I get in with the inspector I will try and get something. But the new place is smaller 1400 sq ft. 2 car on 0.4 acres it is very country cottage feeling with cedar roof and similiar other appointments. Brand new kitchen with all high end appliances aside from a fridge that I will have to buy when I move in. This one was last appriased 2 years ago for well over double what I am paying because it is a foreclosure now. Disgusting but it allows me to buy a nice house in one of the best and most desirable neighborhoods in bloomfield township so I won't complain one bit.

Well she's bought and financed and after a week and a half and most of my savings being spent on upfront updates and appliances we might actually be able to live there tonight or tomorrow night. I will try and get up some decent pictures someday but all I have now are crap my sister took and let me tell you she can't take a damn picture to save her life. But either way we are pretty happy, master is trim paint away from a complete facelift being done (remove carpet and polish the hardwood floors underneath, clean up wall and ceiling plaster and 3-5 coats of paint and primer every surface. Main bath is 1/2 way through minor facelift. Then once I am in I get to do the other two bedrooms but all the supplies are already bought for those rooms so that is at least a little easier.

Well it has taken my just over a week to even get to sleep there but last ngith was the first night. Probably 2-3 more days tog et the master completely done but that is getting close. After that 2 more rooms need almost as much attention, the basement needs to be tiled up again and the then I get to move outside and take care of some things there. So I am thinking I will be ready for a house warming come november, lol...

Somebody didn't read the posts in the middle of the thread. :) I didn't end up buying the one pictured at the top. I bought a different one in bloomfield hills just north of maple west of telegraph.

No street view yet just have to settle for sat photos from above still. It is the one on the south side fo the street with 2 cars in the drive behind the house and the angled garage that faces the rear.
