Any body in the area that has done svt cam swap, and wants to help me do mine let me know when!!

The motor is out, everything has been taken apart, only thing thats left to do is line everything up and take them out. I have gotten this far and i'm scared to go further  I live in Clawson which is right next to Royal Oak. I have all the tools, the labor, the beer, I just need the know how...

so you have to take out your stock cams and put in the svt cams? and then time everything and thats it?

I think so, from what ive read I thought you had to line stuff up before you take them out??

you have to use a paint pen and line up the mark on the cams i believe, check in the 3L section and look under fastcougars thread about his turbo build it shows all the pictures and what to do for the timing of thee cams

It isn't a tough one. I did mine with the motor in the car. With the motor out it is about 100x easier to take care of. Do you have the ford CD?

You mean power wise? Well I can't say for sure because I never ran this motor without these cams, I put it in with others and before firing it once decided to swap the cam and put in my set of SVT's I had. So I do know there is more power when you have SVT pistons, heads, cams, upper, lower and a mustang TB in there. My assumption is the high end won't stop coming power is from the SVT cams more than anything else and yes I can feel that. This thing really comes to life in the higher RPM ranges.

Whenever, you tell me what works for you. I'm the one that needs the favor. It shouldn't take to long right? Unless you wanna hang out and help put everything back together, put the NPG kit on, the new fuel pump, the gauges..... there's all kinda stuff to do!!!

How does about 4 or so sound? I have to do some **** with the wife in the morning into the afternoon but after that should be able to swing by and time help you time this beast up. This shouldn't take long at all, Are the cams already installed in the car? If not do you have a torque wrench to tighten them up in there or should I plan to bring mine. Do you have a vice to lock the tensioners in or will we have to do it in another way? Any other tools I should grab to take care of this? Anything else that we need to take care of once these cams are timed up?

4 sounds good, I have some chit to take care of as well. I have a couple torque wrenches, the old cams are still in, I thought you had to line them up before you took them out?? As far as a vice for the tensioner i'm not sure what you mean... and there is lots of stuff to do, but nothing you HAVE to help with, but I wont say no if you want to help with more :)

Just give me a call and let me know when your on you way.
