I would like to get some black sidemarkers for my Dark Shadow Gray coug, and I'm just wondering: If I use the orange bulbs underneath, will orange light still shine through the black sidemarkers when they are flashing?
Do the flashers still look bright when black sidemarkers are covering them?

I got the black side markers and orange bulbs came with it and you can see them at night when you signal. During the day you can see them if you are up close to them but wouldn't help people see you.
Hope it helps

Thanks for the help, then. I guess black is a kind of un-good plan for me. I was thinking of black because I thought it might look good against the gray -- sort of bring out the cool looking window trim.
Which shade of sidemarkers would you choose for a dark shadow gray?

I have a silver 2000 cougar and would like to know if the clear or the clear with silver backing matches the color of my car the best. Is the clear with the silver backing too dark for the color of the car, and is the clear too light? Just want to know before I go out and order them.
my black coug has black sidemarkers and the yellow amber light shines through them fine

Get smoked ones and keep the clear bulbs in.

While we are on the subject, what color sidemarkers would go best with a Spruce Green 2000?

I have a Silver Frost with the clear side markers with silver backing. In my opinion they look better than the ones with the white backing in most light situations (ive had both). At certain times of the day they look alittle darker than the car, but who cares really. I kept the clear bulb in so you dont see the orange in them. But when the clear bulb lights, it has an amber tint to it anyway.
Hope this helps. Also, there are pics on my website if you want to see what im talking about.

Scuba, the smoked blends in really nicely, it's what I've got on my Spruce Green baby.

I might go with black otherwise I'd say clear w/ white or silver backing to match your 2k1 headlights I did that on my 2k1 french blue C2.

I was thinking about putting blue lights in for the sidemarkers, since everything else is done in blue. I just wanted to make sure that the blue would show through.
