So I'm going to be buying a clutch next week & wanted some advice.
I'm shooting for 210-220whp, I want a clutch that will hold it & stand up over time, but I still want it to be easy to drive.
I think the SPEC Stage 3 is probably overkill, but I've read conflicting things over the Sachs, and SVT Clutches. Would either be good, or should I go with something stronger ?
I looked at ClutchMasters & CenterForce but they are both really expensive.
Thanks,
Chris

How are you expecting to put down that much power?
THe only heavy duty clutch that is really DRIVEABLE is the Spec 3+.

CAI
"Optimized" TB
ST220 Intake
04/05 3L
UD pulleys
Custom Cams
Headers
"Optimized" Y-Pipe
2.5" Magnaflow Exhuast
Hopefully it'll be all finished & tune at the end of the month. We'll see how it goes, I'm hoping the ST220 Intake & some hotter cams will help me get there. Though I've heard mixed things about whether the ST220 intake will fit...
If I do hit 210whp or so should I only really be looking at the SPEC 3 ? Or can the SVT / Sachs handle the power?

Blackcoog said he never had any trouble from his SVT clutch until he supercharged his 3L. I'd say the SVT clutch would be fine.

Definitely go with the SVT clutch.

I agree, unless you are going F/I, the SVT should be fine. But if you want to be safe go 3+, that's what I'll be putting in mine.

I have the SVT clutch on my heavily built 3L and it holds fine.
