Hey All I'm new here and just got my 1999 cougar with 70k on it! 2.5L V6! Lovin it so far except my brakes just went out in the back i think..My pedal is a couple inches from the floor and i got this whirring..(kinda like a card in a bike spoke) from my right rear tire, Someone told me there was a bunch of lil springs back there and one probably broke. My first car was a 1979 cougar XR-7..I was a beater but it had a great 351 8 cyl. in it.. I'm lookin forward to some good time with this car....(although it is much smaller inside than my '79, lol.

Welcome, fellow n00b! I have a similar issue with sounds from my rear (no pun intended). I have a wheel bearing out I think.
