I am looking for some good information regarding replacing these two parts. I am almost past 100k miles which means my stupid fuel pump issues will not be free to fix anymore, and my clutch will be out of padding soon enough. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am able to do the job, but as I have not done it on this particular car before, and I need this car to be reliable, I need GOOD information and experiences from others. Thanks in advance and God bless.

EDIT: OK, I think I have got how to do the fuel pump without dropping the tank, but I still need some information on the clutch, not just "good luck." I am more than capable of doing this, but I am not about to undertake this without some sort of documentation to follow.

easy, take out rear seats and cut out a larger access hole to the fuel pump, then follow the same removal procedure.
as for the clutch good luck! lol

you only have to cut if you have a cougar built after 5/99

Momo, you have to cut the sheet metal no matter when it was built.
