View Full Version : Another Honduh Kill Story

I was coming down Baseline, stopped at Mill avenue, when a green 96-2000 Civic sedan (fail 1) pulls up next to me. I look over and notice he cut his springs apparantly (fail 2), and his "steelies" (fail 3) were so fresh and so clean-clean:banghead:. I take off like normal in the middle lane with a Crossfire to my right, who was driving normally, and Jose Ricer in the Civic tries to punch it at the top of first and chirp second, thinking I was trying to race him and his fat girlfriend. At this time, I give it between half and three quarters throttle (automatic that slips on occasion BTW), and I start to pull on him... Now, I'm not a racer, I don't get on my car all the time, especially in the condition the tranny is in right now, but by the time I was doing about 60 or so, I was up several cars on him, and as I pulled away I looked at him with a big-ass, toothy smile:biggrin:. So, laughing, I slow down, and here comes Pablo Walker again, fart-can a-blaring, and he's already dropped a gear and he looks at me all tough-guy like, and I asked him if he was aware that somebody had stuck a coffee can to his rear bumper, so this pisses him off and he guns it (whiplash, yo!) so I follow... Again, before he can even finish out 2cd gear, I was half a car up on this amazing machine of his. So, this time I run it to about 75, and I look back and see this genius so far back, it's not even funny... Okay, it was funny, I was laughing my ass off. So anyway, by this time I'm toying with him, and this time once I slowed down and flashed my brakelights at him, he gets equal to my rear bumper and tries to bust out the traditional ricer fly-by... Yeah, I see him and as soon as he gets to my rear, I mash it, balls to the wall, and my L'il 2.5 made me fall in love with her all over again... He got as far as his mirror equal to my front bumper and he started to fall back, this time I hang my arm out the window and "air jerk-off". Now, most people would have gotten the point by now, but not this guy. Again, I get a commanding lead on him, shut it down, and he had given up I guess a good ways back... I am going about 50, and I see the flicker of his cheap, blue headlights, like he grabbed the wrong gear or something, so I give it a little more, and let him get close to me and just start laying into him, laughing my ass off. He, like a true ricer, puts it in nuetral and starts revving, AGAIN! I had had enough, and we were almost to McClintock by this time, and I layed into it and **** all over him, as I let out the most annoying, high-pitched girly laugh I could at him:rofl:, and he finally takes the left lane and pulls into a gas station. I am more and more everyday glad I decided to grow up and get away from the Honda crap, it's 99% juvenile these days, all the serious guys are trading in the Civic for other cars, and all the while I am, just like the day I bought it, in love with my Cougar.

So, anybody got any good kills?

 Good story, good story! My favorite is getting right up next to 'em - looking over and just obnoxiously laughing. Like right in their face just laughing. Then act like I'm about to race 'em, get real ready and lean. Look straight ahead.

And when the light turns red, just drive normally and let them put put away. It's the funniest thing in the world because they now realize that they've been duped and look like a tool.

As well, oddly enough you'll notice on NECO most people against street racing or having a little fun :disgust: it's odd, but I thought it was a good story.

Yeah, it was the car, it was a 6th gen D-series single cammer, a universla muffler. I am a recovering honduh geek, I grew up since then... It was in **** shape... I love the powerband in the 2.5 when you punch it from around 40-50. Top end sucks though. :( In PHX, the ricers ar everywhere, sadly, all the real Honda enthusiasts are all grown up and driving other cars I guess.

Sounds like the asshat deserved it, typical HonDUH driver. I used to do that kind of stuff all the time back in the day, I just don't think the risk is worth it anymore. We're probably setting up a track night here in the next few weeks, come on out and see what the thing runs at the track. Trust me, there's plenty of Honda's to break off there, too.

The civic ricers that are actually fast (rare) do catch me off guard. I was just going down the north 101 and passed a fart can civic... I'll just say he was pretty quick. We ended up getting off at the same exit and we were chatting while waiting for the light (I was turning left, he was going straight). He said he runs mid-12's (turbo), but seemed surprised when I told him I just had basic bolt-ons.

Oh yeah, there are fast Hondas out there, it's just rare. Yeah, I'm down for a track night, but I'll be watching most likely, my tranny is not that great, I had some slipping issues, added some lucas to it, and like a douche, over filled it, so my driveway has chicken pox from it leaking:facepalm:, and it still slips something fierce. I might make a pass or two, just to get an idea of what a 92K mile stocker with injuries runs! Nice vids on youboob, bobby! I searched NECO and you popped up first.

With the ATX's, be careful about beating on them when wounded, they really don't like it. We'd love to have you out to the track with us, but I don't want to be calling any tow trucks if you pop the tranny. We usually go with the Focus guys here locally, they've got some QUICK cars over there.

Yeah, my tranny is jacked. It's fine until it gets hot, and it starts slipping bad, you can hear the intake growl from having my foot in it and it just doesn't go anywhere! No hard shifting under normal driving at all, you can feel it downshift when coming up to a light, but its very faint. But if I have to put my foor in it, like when I get on the 101, it just revs all the way up, hangs there fro a second, and shifts into gear hard. And a belt or something chirps when it shifts, sounds like a BOV, LOL. So when/where is the meet up, bobby?
