Its that time of the year again. This years meet will be held May 24-25th. It's one of the only week that i have available before CF this year with my schedule at work since im in charge of the auditorium.

This year I would like to change things up a bit and cater in some food instead of cooking. There is a place near me that caters awesome BBQ. They bring the hog and all the sides out. I would like to get $10-15 a person depending on how many people show up. I havent called on a cost yet, but because of the weekend i need to book it soonish

Like the previous years bring on the mods and we can get them done for the most part. If you have something big let me know cause youll have to show up early in the morning. Ill keep a running list here of the attendees and "scheduled" mods they want to do.

As for sleeping arrangements, bring a tent, no need to sleep in a the car unless you dont have to, or if youre in pyros tent.

The house is very easy to get to and we have PLENTY of room for cars/tents. Hopefully this year we can have a BIGGER fire. If you dont know the location is in Valparaiso, IN (NW Indiana). Ill post up an addy when the time gets closer

Depending on whats playing at the drive in we might hit that up, go mini golfing or go karting. Might even head up to the beach and take some pics at the Dunes. We might just sit around the fire, cook smores, and play garage sized Rock Band.

Anyone that wants either a strut bar or an antenna can hand me $60 cash and $25 cash and ill even put them in for ya if you get one there. just let me know about the bars ahead of time so i can have it ready.

And for an added bonus, this year on Sunday May 25th, my autox region is having an event. I would love to have a bunch of cougars (and a goat and horse ) come join the fun. Entry fee for that is up in the air right now for non SCCA members.

For those that will be traveling long distances you are more than welcome to come up friday night. We have a local car show every friday night weather permitting that ill be going to.

Ill update this with more info as time goes along, but im just getting this out there for people to mark the date and make the right arrangements.

Last year was a great turn out with people from 6 states (2 from Ohio) so Id like to top that. Ill update the list in the Hoosier section

As a teaser to get people to come, the new look of the 3L will be debuting here.........

Well, if I'm still not recovering from the Rock on the Range concert from the previous weekend, it sounds like a good time. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be going through cougar repair/mod withdrawal this year so I'll probably be itching to do some work.

forgot that part, added it. bring a tent, or talk with some others about sharing a tent, the yard turns into a campground real quick

not to stop anyone from coming either, but i am located in the NW corner of the state so depending on where you are coming from it might be a bit of a drive

Pyro you had the best tent from the mid 20s I have ever seen. I thought it was a mini circus tent at first.

Well, if i'm not known for anything else at least i'll be known for having the oldest tent in existence... Hell it even became a group effort to get the damn thing up...

Oh no, Ohio still hosts mini-fest in the fall at Cedar Point. You must come up with a new name.

jaged

it has a name "jaged's memorial mod meet"

yes you have mini fest at CP, but it is about the park, not the cars. either way you must come. i will try to make OH mini fest if my schedule allows if you come

Im still planning on coming. Did have a new question though. Is a mod meet a good time to learn how to do fiberglass repair on my bumper. LOL

I'm reading it it seems easy enough but when it comes to things in a category not computer related I seem to do a good job of screwing up. But I def want my bumper fixed before cougarfest.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't work on it during a 2 day mod meet. At a shorter mod meet it wouldn't be a good idea. The biggest thing with fiberglass is that you need a well ventilated dry area, and time to let it cure. We might not have time to get to bondo and sanding it smooth, but we should be able to at least get the glassing part done, or at least help you get started so you can finish it at home. Glassing can be a little messy, so a big piece of cardboard that you can lay out in the grass would probably be the best working surface. Of course Jaged gets the last say if he wants work like this done at the mod meet. Also if you can post a pic of the damage, so we can see what we might be getting into.

that doesnt look too bad. go to autozone and get a container of fiberglass and some fiberglass matte. youll need a cheapy paint brush and a disposable container (cool whip bowl or something like that)

Don't forget Acetone for clean up, a couple of the cheapest 2"-3" paint brushes, and rubber gloves.

  Yeah!
I doubt I'm going to be able to make it to JagedFest, looks like that weekend is turning into the work weekend for my brother-in-law and I to prepare the boat for summer, and redo the dock at my parent's.

But if you want that WW Rear at 'Fest, it's yours and I'll happily lug it out to you at 'Fest. May not be in the original box, as that won't fit in the Cougar. Shoot me a PM, let me know :)

So it turns out I'm not going to able to make it folks. My cousin's wedding is that weekend and unlike CF, this wedding is more than an hour away so I can't do both :(
