Its that time of the year again. This years meet will be held May 24-25th. It's one of the only week that i have available before CF this year with my schedule at work since im in charge of the auditorium.

This year I would like to change things up a bit and cater in some food instead of cooking. There is a place near me that caters awesome BBQ. They bring the hog and all the sides out. I would like to get $10-15 a person depending on how many people show up. I havent called on a cost yet, but because of the weekend i need to book it soonish

Like the previous years bring on the mods and we can get them done for the most part. If you have something big let me know cause youll have to show up early in the morning. Ill keep a running list here of the attendees and "scheduled" mods they want to do.

The house is very easy to get to and we have PLENTY of room for cars/tents. Hopefully this year we can have a BIGGER fire. If you dont know the location is in Valparaiso, IN (NW Indiana). Ill post up an addy when the time gets closer

Depending on whats playing at the drive in we might hit that up, go mini golfing or go karting. Might even head up to the beach and take some pics at the Dunes. We might just sit around the fire, cook smores, and play garage sized Rock Band.

Anyone that wants either a strut bar or an antenna can hand me $60 cash and $25 cash and ill even put them in for ya if you get one there. just let me know about the bars ahead of time so i can have it ready.

And for an added bonus, this year on Sunday May 25th, my autox region is having an event. I would love to have a bunch of cougars (and a goat and horse ) come join the fun. Entry fee for that is up in the air right now for non SCCA members.

For those that will be traveling long distances you are more than welcome to come up friday night. We have a local car show every friday night weather permitting that ill be going to.

Ill update this with more info as time goes along, but im just getting this out there for people to mark the date and make the right arrangements

I think I'm gonna wax my car if it's nice outside. Hey does anybody want to buy an SVT oil cooler? How about a TrubendZ S/S flowmaster dual exhaust? I can bring those to the meet if anyone is interested.

jaged
05-12-2008, 01:40 PM

BigBalledOX
05-12-2008, 02:14 PM
That may be the case, but, I've had these lowering springs forever now and I'd still like to get them on the car. They're just Eibachs, so I can't imagine them being difficult.

nadthomas
05-13-2008, 10:54 PM
Since I can't seem to find 10 minutes on my own to do it, so I'm bringing my CAGS elminator to install on the goat, and my car is really needs a good wash and wax. If things are slow I might paint my brake calipers too.

Im planning on coming friday sometime. depends on what .. umm an "endeavor" Im working on wants to do. LOL.

I have to get that stuff for my bumper.

any body in need of parts? Im problaby buyin bubby's tireds and rims if he gets back with me with shipping. I'll know in a day or two. If I do Ill have a set of 16's for sale, just stock ones identical to his but with not good tires. I have a moonroof, rear wiper motor, headliner with moonroof hole. seat belts, I'll get a list. Its all in storage but I need to sell some stuff and this would be a good oppurtunity for the people that live far from me.

You're not very observant are you? I've been in for about 2 months, although I may very well be leaving the Cougar at home. Depends on whether I can swap out the axles this weekend.

Evidently your sense of self importance is rather inflated, because the only reason I even looked the other day was to see who was going to be there I hadn't seen in some time.

05-16-2008, 01:08 PM
My proclamation of your nationality has increased your sense of self worth? Interesting . . . is it because you feel such pride in your heritage that it makes you tear up to see it displayed so boldly for all the world to see?

BigBalledOX

It should be fine to get up there. I very well may end up swapping them there. I'm having a hard time getting ahold of the inner CV adapter for a slide hammer locally, so I may break down an just order one.

I was holding out hope that I could go back this year. Being without a Cougar would hopefully free up time to drink and socialize more this year than last. But my little brother returns from USMC basic training this week and he's coming here to hang out with his niece and nephew. Hope it's fun, guys.

soooo just checked the drive ins website and theyre showing indiana jones and iron man. if we do this we will have to show up probably around 6 to get spots, and we wont get out till 1230ish. so that cuts out all bonfire time and a lot of drinking time

bensenvill
05-20-2008, 04:01 PM

and what do you mean cuts into drinking time?!?

jaged

its always been an option. in the past years the movies that were out werent that good. I know its going to be packed, so we would have to be there early.

like i said it doesnt matter to me either way, but we need to make sure that all the mods that are being done get done before we head out

Yeah for you. I'm planning on starting drinking at 9:00 like I did last year and making this a spectacular all-day event. A little movie ain't gonna slow my roll, thats what two liter bottles of soda are for. Why yes officer, this IS just Diet Sprite, there's certainly no Hennessy in here, no sir, no Hennessy at all!
