just wondering if there is there is any difficulty to painting the sides of the engine that are right underneath the 2.5 l duratec black cover. i dont know the spicific name but i've seen lots of pics of people doing that. maby the valve covers or somthin. i dont know. but if there is any trick to painting these i would like to know. so far all i really think i need to do is take em off and make sure they are clean, then use some good engine paint.

clean them up real good, might want to do some sanding to them or something, and get some high temp paint

clean/degrease, prep/sand, clean, prime, sand, clean, color, clear.

IMO, if you are going thru the effort, have it powder coated (with hi-temp powder coat) instead of paint.

there have been a couple NECO powdercoat guys around. Believe the last was someone from the SE - Spade maybe?

Clutch hasn't been on since the first of the year so I'm not sure you're going to get much out of him but .... I was looking though Joe's thread on CEG and it look slike he does a good job! I'm not sure how much powdercoating usually costs but nothing is really expensive to have done, you just have to deal with some shipping charges.
