asking anyone who may of had the problem.... I was driving one day and i went over a rail road track and its like my stick fell out of place. i left out on the clutch and instead of accelerating it decreased. like the gear wasn't pushed over i tried down shifting and nothing worked. so heres my questions
I just put a new clutch in it so the clutch is not the problem...

The stick can be slammed into all gears and act like no gear is being pushed

Can it be my cables are not pushing the gears anymore?
or is it another transmission problem that im going to hate paying for again?

check that the cables are still attached on both ends. then pull the shift tower from the mtx and see if the bolt broke ...

sounds like linkage to me...

MTX tranny repair is nothing to fret about though...nothing like you would over an automatic...

LOL if all else fails i will sell you my entire cougar for 1500.oo and the tranny is solid in it..

it was the nut that holds my stick in i just replaced the nut and now it runs like it was brand new... now lets hope it runs long enough for cash to come in to replace more parts and buy new parts
