i just got my lower intake manifold out an i am wanting to clean it to make it look brand new. what is the best way i should go about doing this? i dont want to take it somewhere to have somthing done to it. i know its possible to do it myself. i just dont know what chemicals to use.

soak it ina degreaser. you can do a 50/50 mix of simple green and water. leave it over night in a tub,then wipe it down.

just added this to ONE the other thread you just posted to (you really don't have to ask the same question in FOUR different spots)
I had my UIM hot tanked at Napa Auto for like $25 and it came out spotless. (it technically wasn't "hot tanked", as the guy said there's another process for Aluminum that's more of a dishwasher system, but don't remember it's name).
