Well, I was wondering if I may get some photoshops done... they are for future plans and I would like to display it at some shows this year until the plans become complete.

You can use this picture as a reference for FMIC placement

I would like the bottom portion (known as the fangs) shaved off, so the bottom will be straight and higher... Smoke the headlights. That's about it. Actually, Matt, would you still have that chop with the BC2 front bumper? That is the other option with the FMIC

Thanks guys! I'll provide credit where credit is due

I checked, and nope, I don't appear to... :(

I could easily do it again though if you could PM me or post a good picture of it :)

Also, if you don't understand what I'm talking about... I'm most likely doing a CF splitter up front and shaving down the fangs, raising the ride height and making the front end more efficient.

well, heres the FMIC

Hmmm.... I was wondering how it would look with the hole as high as Trevor has his?

ND4SPD

well, it depends how much you want to hack up your bumper :P

ND4SPD

heres a quick one without the lower bumper and an enlarged grill... imo, the vents on either side will have to be modified too... or else it will probably look weird.

yeah see... the vents just look retarded and small

PREDATOR

True, that's part of the reason... I think I know what it will look like but I don't want it to be retarded

:cover: like that?

edit: i think that is the best thing i have ever done in ms paint.

 that looks like it matches more... but you're basically remaking the bumper from scratch.

imo, I wouldn't do it unless you were really bored and REALLY motivated.

I think a short and wide intercooler would be best, like in that first photoshop...when you get to enlarging the hole, it just throws the whole thing out of proportion, like the larger front vents make the side vents look out of place, which would lead to more custom body work :)

This thread got me really motivated to use photoshop today, so here you go...

This is what I was talking about, I think the hole looks awkward...

http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj282/noggs20/FMICSplitter3Fin.jpg

I guess I will have to fab up some sheet metal to duct the air properly to the FMIC...

I do like this Idea: Of course the splitter would help get the bumper off of the ground

how about a little less of a butchered image with the splitter?

This pic reminds me of the Audi R-8 front bumper that is being made for our Cougars over in Belgium (?)... hence why a Huge FMIC would look great in that bumper...IMO.

Meh, IDK, that bumper looks strange to me with the "fangs" shaved off. I'd like to see how it would look with the BC2 bumper and the splitter.

Honestly... from seeing all the photoshops, I don't think any of those ideas look as good as how it does currently.

The problem with that is that the bumper has cracks and stuff in it from scraping because its so low to the ground. Around here in Phoenix, even I scrape the exhaust on speed bumps and stuff, and I only have B&G's, he's got full GC's. He needs something to bring it up a little bit so he doesn't break the bumper clear off on a speed bump somewhere.

Here's a good look at the height compared to everyone else, you can also see some of the damage:

So...ND4SPD, how long did that take you and how did you get the splitter to wrap arround? I took an STI splitter and cut the corners off and fliped the over, did you use one solid peice or blend the peices together more? I have not mastered blending things together...I did pretty good on the bumper though :)

... i drew it  (i have a pen tablet :) its really a must have if you are planning on doing a lot of photo editing, or any artsy work for that matter. The pressure sensitivity is worth the price alone to me!)

Sometimes copy/pasting parts from other images just doesn't cut it... ya gots to do it the old fashion way!

agreed, I'd start by photoshopping out the fact your being tailgated by an escort and small truck. That would be a start on looking more furious.

I'd stick with the current bumper design. I know its not salvageable but look wise its a real winner.

How about this?

The Min Garage Front, same kind of style but not as low. Kind of how I wanted to mod the Xtreme :banghead:

The only thing I don't like about the MIN front is the way the splitter is shaped with the 3 "points" on it. If I got it, I'd shave down those corners and make it a smooth curve. But yeah, it would probably look pretty good.

jon

u could possible add the fender flares to the bumper to continue the flow and also possible flow the grey on the bottom of the bumper also and the headlights would possibly need to be the lexus grey i think that would look sexy......i must play in photoshop now. email me a hi res photo...a front and 3/4 one. i am bored and willing to give it a go

Let me snap some better angles of the car... still highly considering the BC2 front with a carbon splitter

Well I can tell you that the chick that bought my car had the bottom part basically ripped off in about a week. That the bumper doesn't look near as aggressive without it. Granted I saw it cracked and with the "fangs" off, but it still looked awkward. IMO I wouldn't take anything off that bumper. Adding a splitter may help, I would try that before any major modding of it.
