mod meet?

hey i was thinking about having a mod meet in april sometime to do some gutting of the pre cats and getting my svt lite upgrade put on. any other mods we can do to, just seeing if anyone was interested in coming, i'll grill and get some beer and pop and you can even crash if you want

I might make it out there, depending on what day it is. I don't gut pre-cats anymore, I will happily help guide someone on doing it and take car of the front cat once it is off the car but won't go under for them again. The SVT swaps you want to do should be a piece of cake, assuming no unforseen circumstances.

If I do come down and there are any tools you don't have that are needed I probably have them and can bring a few out.

Yeah but I'm willing to drive 2 hours to visit friends in my home town, so that doesn't seem that far to me.

i will be having it at my dads house(in the country) because my apartment neighbors would prolly crap a brick if i had a lot of people here, i want to get my gutted pre cats put on, (i bought a set that are already gutted);) and my svt lite upgrade and hopefully the angel eyes, (cough, cough) madcustomz :disgust:, and jorgen about tools i think i have everthing needed but i might have to buy some deep sockets to get the valve covers off easier, but if you have a 3 1/2 hole cutter you could bring that because i want to do my cai finally, and maybe something to cut the battery tray, as for the day jorgen any day that is good for you because i currently am laid off so whatever best fits you will work(maybe a weekend) and jorgen if you want to put on my precats i'll give you a 65mm tb for the help

Yes. Would I recommend doing it that way? Not really, it is a bit of a hassle and time consuming.

My svt cams went in while the engine was in the car it is a pain in the ass but yes doable. Doesn't take that long to do just not the most fun job to get done.

Well how far taken apart will your car be at this time? It might make sens e to do it then if you think it is something you want to do sooner or later anyway. it just takes a lot of taking apart of the engine.

just whats needed to be takin apart to do the svt lite upgrade plus the svt contour valve covers

Well it is up to you. You will be nearing being torn down enough to do the swap.

You will just have to remove a few more things and support the engine to remove the upper mount then pop the cams out put the new ones in, fight to time it and put everthing back together.

If I can make it I can bring that drill bit, I have it in my storage somewhere. precats you mainly just need wrenches and ratchets.

well i got my cougar out today and any of the up coming weekends to do the svt lite upgrade to my car, i would like to do, so if anyone wants to come by and give my hand i'd appreciate because i can't wait to put all the svt on
